So yeah I'll be getting a server or two for Olden this weekend to play on so we don't have to wait for Viral to back down and get things going on Tira. I just want to see what everyone wants.
Issue OneFirst up, I need to decide if I should get one big 28 slot server or one 20 slot server and an 8 slot server. The 8 slot server will be set to a forest map like gm_winterforest or gm_forest2008 or some shit like that to be used for roleplaying the deeper woods near Surna. It'll also have a fuckton of maps on it so if you want to have an away-roleplay somewhere else you can just votemap or request a map switch from me or an admin.
Like for instance say you want to roleplay in some sort of crazy skyland for your away-event, you can ask to switch to gm_skybound. Yeah, I get that we don't have the population to fill the primary server, this is just if you want to roleplay in a different setting from the town without disturbing the primary server. Downside is that since I'm renting servers I can't have a linked database, which means you'll have to create your character on both servers. FUUUUUUUUCK
Issue TwoI'll be using Tira on the server, a sexy beast of a script. The coolest thing about it is that any NPC model can be played on. I MEAN ANY. GOD DAMNED. NPC. Even SNPCs like the Dragon thing on Garrysmod.org. It also has a system where you can put clothes on. So if you put on an armored suit your body from the neck down will look like the armored suit model. If you wear a helmet, your head will look like the model's head. You can tell where I'm going with this. Basically, I need to figure out how we're gonna handle kustom contant.

Yeah, I could take out some of the pop-culture stuff if people want. Deciding what custom content to put on is a bit too intricate for a vote, so discuss here.
Options for content as a whole:
1. Make the server somewhat immersive (well uh if you can ignore the numerous pop-culture characters walking around) by taking out all the Half Life 2 choosable starting models and replacing them with whatever I can find on Garrysmod.org that'll be appropriate. Pretty much every model on the server will be available for use at the start, including
half-naked WoW elven models that you can clothe once you create the character. I'm not a pervert, god dammit. I just want em for the fucking heads, not the rest of their bodies. Yes, I know we could use some more models, female models especially.
2. Keep the Half Life 2 models on there but have people be able to spawn custom models and use them as clothing. That means everything neck down will become your model. You can also spawn a model and use its head if you want and not just its body. An admin would be able to set your whole model to something as well.
3. Keep the Half Life 2 models on there and have clothing such as armor and hot suits for the ladies be buyable using in-game currency. We can also do this kind of thing with weapon models so you can attach them to your body like in PAC. Oh and by the way in Tira you can write newspapers INGAME so someone should totally sell them if we get an economy going. An admin can give you a custom head if you want. An admin would be able to set yourwhole model to something as well.
4. Have no custom content. Fuck you and your gay models, ya cunt.
All this custom content will be put into one big content pack so people won't have to wait an hour dling it off the server. If we go with option two or three I may put some of the models important people are playing on in the autodl, Pat's call on that one. If anyone can't understand the options, please say so.
Oh also if you have any content suggestions post em here. This can include weapon model packs (not sweps). Try to test the ones intended for player models in-game with the model manipulator to make sure their animations work on npcs if it doesn't say they can be used for NPCs for me, please :3. Don't gimmie player models they dun work.
