For devoting so many years of his life to rigorous learning and assisting the education of his peers and underlings, Al-Jabar Kasam has identified himself as a prime example of a Teacher within the Archivists of Light. Through his many recent years travelling, wandering, and studying in corners of the world, and far away from the Archivists Realm, he has beheld many unique observations, and performed experiments through which scrying mentors may find reason to praise him. Al-Jabar is a fine example of what it means to be a teacher, and a researcher within the archivists of light, and perhaps now he is ready to begin the next tier of his journey: that of a High Librarian.
With this duty, Al-Jabar would be a sole delegate responsible for upholding the Archivists standing in their places of business, upholding their communication and transport. He would also be a professor for those Teachers and Researchers under him, able to further their path along the way of knowledge. Al-Jabar may also be instructed to perform for the faction itself, through simple means such as recruitment, or organizational duties that pave the way for a sort of political standing within the group.
Most importantly to Kasam, he will be given the honor of placing his own magic in a piece of Cardonium, granting a bit of his own power to the soul of the Archivists Realm, and helping become a part of a grand tradition of Archivists before him.

In Short, Al-Jabar Kasam is my non-combat mage, whom has been an Archivist of Light since his mid-to-late twenties. He specializes in research and practical applications of his magical interests, namely Divination.
Al-Jabar Kasam gains, literally, nothing from this promotion, save the ability to be more approachable in RP, either by those under his rank, or by those higher up in its reaches.
