Far above the atmosphere, a detachment of the Republic of Zeleniy fleet warps in with the flagship the ZRS Batruka. The fleet contains 2 cruisers alongside the flagship. In an encoded message, the flagship relays this message. "Attention, the homeworld of Qailësel is now a League of Stars demilitarized zone. For the purposes of rebuilding the sovereign nation and investigating what occurred, all non-sanctioned military forces are to extract from Qailësel immediately. No Qetësi tech or resources may leave the atmosphere, they belong to the Amalgamation. Unauthorized military personnel are given one League of Stars standard galactic day to depart from Qailësel immediately. This blockade can and will be enforced with violent action."

The ships move into a blocking position around the planet's orbit.

A message is sent to the ground party, who stop their operations short. They get into their respective transport craft, and attempt to leave orbit and enter the hangars of the ZTN Wonder.

Several private ships and frigates, 90% of them being citizens of the Republic of Zeleniy, the other 10 being mostly human scavengers, enter the orbit. Most of them are able to slip past the blockade by hiding their signature amongst the debris from the Aturor invasion, floating in orbit. The larger ships are stopped by smaller fighter craft and are directed away from the crumbling ruins. The ships that do make it past the blockade settle themselves somewhere in the rubble or in decrepit landing pads. Each of them dispensing as much as 1 to 20 scavengers, mostly Rhg'Zez. Oddly enough, the thick dust clouds and billowing towers of smoke remind them of home. They brush this thought aside, they have a personal mission to accomplish. Driven from their homeland by the severe lack of economic opportunity and individualism, they seek to make profit on what is left of the Qetesi homeworld.

The scavengers seek military and scientific secrets locked deep away in the ruins of government and military bases. Big money on the black market. But they are not opposed. There is still a small contingent of Qetesi nationalists trying to rebuild their homeland under the guidance and protection of the Republic of Zeleniy. For now, however, they merely set up camps and form a primitive trade and communications network with each other.

The scavengers begin to explore the ruined planet, mapping most of the major cities with primitive land marks. As they search, they encounter Qetesi survivors, and if they do not ignore them, they shoot them for their possessions. Word of these scavengers reaches the blockade high above space, and the 3rd Army of the Royal Zeleniyan Marine Corps is dispatched to comb the planet for these criminals. The military has the advantage of air superiority and numbers, but the scavengers use their knowledge of the crumbling planet and their superior weaponry to retaliate. Most of the time, however, the scavengers stay in hiding.

VTOL gunships patrol the streets, blaring search lights into the dust, a monotone voice repeating on a loop through a loud speaker in Rhg'Zezian,"Attention, this is a demilitarized zone. Stealing Qetesi tech and materials is a 35 year minimum sentence. Taking aggression to Zeleniyan peacekeeping forces warrants violent force, and is a life sentence. All trespassers will be forgiven if they leave immediately with no tech aboard their ship. Do not let greed sway your good judgement."

The scavengers skulk and slink through the darkness and dust, using underground routes when they can. The low hum of VTOL engines and the revving engines of military vehicles passes over them frequently. Sporadic gunshots evolve into two or three minutes of sustained firefights, it suddenly stops as quick as it started. Volok Gorod, a lone Rhg'Zez scavenger, huddles inside of a ruined government building, cleaning out one of the filters for his gasmask. His mission is simple, find a legendary Qetesi artifact. It is rumored to be anything from a great war machine to a masterpiece of terraforming technology. He's not sure, nor does he really care about it's purposes. All he knows is that he will be set for life if he finds it first.

The planet is falling apart. What little Qetesi that remain can barely form any sort of reigning government, but the Zeleniyan forces continue to rebuild in vain. The scavengers have gotten better, they've learned the routes of the destroyed city and navigated themselves around military forces easily. It's been rumored some valuable tech has already been smuggled out with advanced stealth craft. With these rumors comes a military crackdown on all scavengers. The tolerance once shown is now waning. Gunships circle the capital district, equipped with infrared scanners. IFVs and APCs cruise through the streets, and gunfire becomes more and more scarce as the military weens out the less experienced scavengers.

Volok Gorod's dream was crumbling all around him. The legendary Qetesi vault was not but a half kilometer away from him, but the great military district had double the patrols as the city. From his binoculars he could see Zeleniyan regulars taking shelter from a great dust storm from behind their APC as they patrolled. This dust storm might be to his advantage, but it was no doubt the gunships would see him. He notices a hatch open on the APC, and half of a Rhg'Zezians torso pop out, waving frantically and yelling something that could not be discerned over the wind. The marines loaded into the back of the APC, and it revved it's engine and drove off. Volok watched it drive off, and did a double scan of the area in front of him with his binoculars. In the distance, he could hear gunfire over the storm. Now was his chance. He sprinted from his cover and rushed towards a fighter craft wreck in the middle of the courtyard.

He looked around and could not see what was in front of him. When he looked back, he could barely see where he had came. He looked in the direction of where the once great military HQ might be, and made a run for it. His lungs became strained as he began to breathe less and less carbon monoxide. He sputtered and coughed, and fell, collapsing against the great steps in front of the Qetesi defense headquarters. He quickly turned on the valve to his emergency gas tank, and took in many short breathes in quick succession. He got his breathing back to normal, and turned back to ascend the stairs. He made it to the top, and clambered over a toppled column. He made his way through a great doorway, one of the large doors was blown off its hinges while the other one was turned inwards. As he walked into the great building he took his rifle off it's sling and looked around. It was dark, but Volok had cheap nightvision for that. The whole floor of the main lobby was covered in 2-3 inches of dust, but it didn't seem to penetrate any further into the building.

He took his PDA, and opened the file he bought from a scavenger detailing the entire blueprint of the building. The hologram popped up, and it was so large he found himself inside of it. He scaled down the blueprint and looked to the entrance area. He mapped out his next few steps and pocketed the PDA, bringing up his rifle and making his way towards his future.

Several kilometres away from the former beauty that was the Qetesi homeworld, several spacial distortions begin to manifest. Descending from slipspace and into the sector, a series of cloaked and unmarked ships arrive and form siege formations. Immediately upon the completion of the formation, one of the cloaked ships would engage a sub-space communications jammer against the planetary blockade and all other vessels in the vicinity, rendering all planetary and ship communication scrambled until it's deactivation. (unless something proves otherwise)

Two out of five ships appear from their cloaked shroud and deploy their weapon systems and would commence targeting of command- and/or dedicated anti-missile classed vessels, if any were present. If not, any viable target would be preferred. If no immediate retaliation was given, the ships would bombard the blockade with energy artillery.

To sour the lives of the blockading fleet even further, their sensors would go haywire with slipspace distortions and clusters of ship signals on all sides in attack formation. Behind the planet, on their flanks, above and beneath them. According to their sensors, the planet was being completely surrounded. Additionally, the original five-vessel fleet that arrived now appears substantially larger, containing a total of thirty signals. (unless something proves otherwise)

A Rhg'Zezian navy shipman sits in front of his computer in the bridge of the ZRS Batruka, he stares blankly at the screen and yawns. Taking his cup and sipping from it, he sighs, looking at the fluid inside. Two beeps come from his headset, and he puts the cup down, looking at the red screen. A little yellow triangle appears near the corner of the screen, away from the planetary blockade. He looks at it for a moment, then turns to his CO. "Sir, something just jumped into orbit. Can't seem to get a good lock on it." As he looks to his commanding officer, he hears another two-beep signal from his headset. Then another. And another. And another. He swerves his head back to the screen as his headset beeps wildly, little yellow triangles popping up everywhere. His eyes widen as he yells,"Blehyt! Thirty unidentified jumps!"

Another call comes out from the bridge,"Signals being jammed, we've lost connection with our planetary F.O.B. and the fleet!" The ship is rattled, the bridge shaking, crewman grab a hold of railings and brace themselves. An alarm goes off, and the whole bridge erupts into a roar of orders being shouted. The ZRS Batruka returns fire with its three 305mm MAG cannons, and it's smaller, mostly anti-fighter craft weapons, on the only two signals it is able to lock on to.

Captain Zygboyum makes her way to the bridge, as the ship shakes, she stumbles into the wall and curses. She picks herself up and runs to the bridge. She rushes into her place and the second in command informs her,"Kaptionniy, 30 FTL jumps into orbit, only two ships have exited stealth systems. We're also being jammed, we've no contact with our ground forces or the other two ships." She curses audibly and rubs her chin,"The cruisers will come to us, it's standard protocol. We have to worry about our men on the ground. I want the craziest pilot we have to get down to the F.O.B. and tell them this is a Code Black. We're evacuating now. Hopefully they'll have short range communications with their forces." The second in command nods,"As you will, Kaptionniy."

The two cruisers in orbit around the planet begin to move to the capital ship, as per protocol when communications are jammed, they will be in range within roughly 10 minutes.

On the ground, the Royal Rhg'Zezian Marine commander speaks with his officers,"Lost contact?.." The lieutenant nods,"Yes sir, likely just the dust storms again." The commander nods, rubbing his chin. Suddenly, the short range radio blares,"This is Chava 2-6 to Chava 6 Actual, we're under attack, repeat, we are under attack. Armed, elite stealth units with high powered weaponry, these are not scavengers. 2 Platoon is engaging, over." With that comes several other radio messages. Over all of them comes a more desperate voice, with heavy gunfire in the background, "Chava 6, Chava 6, this is Chava 1-6, we're getting fucking torn up over here! They're trying to get into the Qetesi vaults! Requesting air support, over!" The commander stands up and takes the short range radio handle,"This is Chava 6 to all Chava company elements, pull back to defensive positions on strategical Qetesi points. I will speak with the other companies to get you reinforcements, and your air support will be on the way."

The city alights with chaos, as the 3 companies of the 3rd Royal Marines disengage with the stealth operatives to consolidate a defense on the strategical tech and governmental areas of the Qetesi ruins. As they pull back, their mechanized convoys are hit by ambushes. They are well disciplined and do not stop, even after a few IFVs are taken out and soldiers pour our to engage their hidden attackers. Most of Chava company makes it to their designated defense points, taking losses varying from 1-2 IFVs to 10-20 men.

Chava company is a mechanized infantry unit, tasked with defending and patrolling the destroyed Royal Qetesi government and military sector. Each platoon consisting of 60 Rhg'Zezian marine regulars (6 squads of 10), armed with basic anti-ballistic armor, Rhg'Zezian ballistic rifles, LMGs, and marksmen rifles, (with designs of Kalishnikov-like descent), standard frag grenades, and marine gasmasks with carbon monoxide tanks. Lastly, they are sporadically modified with minor cyborg tech such as combat stim injectors and aim enhancing eye augmentations.

For vehicular support they have 6 Zelenomashinapehotkys-2, or ZMP-2s, one for each squad. A tracked, highly advanced infantry fighting vehicle with 60 millimeter thick armor, 40mm cannons, 1 ATGM launcher, and two HMGs. The gunner also has infrared vision.

Chava company's intent is to dig in and wait for air support while holding the strategic Qetesi areas. Chava-1, or first platoon, holds the Qetesi Military Headquarters, and would most likely be the focus of the stealth units.

With the military units in full retreat, the scavengers take this chance to try and penetrate the Qetesi Military Headquarters, and get into the vault. If they run into stealth units, they might be hostile to them. The scavengers are mostly Rhg'Zezian and their gear varies from simple Rhg'Zezian kalash models to plasma weaponry equaling the aggressor's. Their numbers vary from 1 man to 50, and their alliances with each other are uneasy, but they will likely team up to try and get the secrets of the vault, and betray each other once they get there.

Volok navigates himself through the old military HQ, stepping over the bodies of dead Rhg'Zezian scavengers and long decayed Qetesi government officials. The gunfire outside has grown to substantially, it is so loud the great inner halls quake with the explosions and rattling gunfire. He navigates his way through the dark halls, squinting at the dark through his poor NV goggles. He enters the control room, the PDA beeps as it alerts him, a robotic female voice declares,"You have reached your destination." He looks around the room, and a panel catches his eye. He opened a document titled "EMERGENCY BACK-UP PROTOCOLS, RHG'ZEZIAN TRANSLATION." It was a protocol for the Qetesi HQ incase power was lost. He walks up to the panel, seeing it's been half pried open by a dead Qetesi. He steps around the body and removes it.

He follows the instructions, pressing a few buttons and typing in a given code. He then pulls down on a lever slowly, and dim red lights flicker on in the control room, as well as several consoles. The majority of the computers remain silent and powered down, however. He approaches one and begins to type madly, entering in several authorization codes. He connects his PDA to the console with a modified jack specifically for Qetesi tech, and it bypasses the biological analysis required for a commander who was no doubt rotting somewhere in the facility. He looks to a camera screen, and sees a heavy door panel's LEDs turn green and unlock, swinging open gently. He smirks, taking his rifle and running through the facility, sensing something is wrong. No scavenger faction could make the 3rd Royal Marines react this way.

Their ruse had went exactly according to the plan. The Republic were preparing a retreat, yet further encouragement was required. The artillery frigates stand as the spearhead of the besieging fleet, and commence evasive maneuvers as the blockade begins their wild retaliation. One of the heavy projectiles fired from the fleet command-ship makes a direct hit on one of the frigates, overloading it's shields and violently shaking it's crew. Though, the smaller projectiles fired seems to have a poor effect against the energy shielding and hull of the frigates.

The artillery frigates engage all forward thrusters in response to the counter-attack, pushing themselves backward in an attempt to remain out of the Republic fleet's optimal firing ranges. Meanwhile, their high-energized artillery cannons would initiate a continuous barrage on the blockade's flagship, aiming for vital hardpoints such as the hangar bays and ship's heavy armaments. The AOE of the energy artillery would also ensure that all vessels in close proximity to the flagship would be endangered by the plasma remnants and the intense shockwave the energy pulse disperses upon detonation.

Presuming that the blockade would be preoccupied with the barrage, an additional and substantially larger slipspace rift would conjure on it's left flank. A large vessel, obviously a battleship-class, would break out with it's arsenal of weaponry armed and primary power supplies directed to it's shields. It would, upon visual contact, immediately commence raking fire upon the smaller crafts that support the Republic flagship. And at such close ranges, the effects of the battleship's energy lances would surely be hurtful to any ships not intended for close-range capital-ship engagements.

Down on the surface level, the Stealth Corps had fulfilled their duties with excellence and with minimal losses. But time was now of the essence, and the deployed operatives would have to be swift if they were to maintain the upper-hand. While a minor contingent of the stealth operations unit were deployed on the city streets, plaguing the regrouping occupational forces, the majority of the operatives had quietly regrouped around the Qetesi Military Headquarters. In total, their numbers were at aprox. 366 out of 500 strong.

After carefully watching the Republic platoon, the operatives began to set up sniper and anti-armour nests at high-ground locations, meanwhile booby-trapping the buildings and ruins they were held in to ensure that any forces that were to enter recklessly would meet a swift end, without damaging the already quivering structure. They tread carefully and moved with discretion to avoid detection. ( Should they have been detected somehow during their set-up, they would engage an all-out assault from their positions and attempt to flank the platoon )

While the main force prepped the sector, two squads of Stealth Ops had already managed to infiltrate the military headquarters during the initial chaos and were in hot pursuit of the Scavengers that came before them. They were careful to remain unseen, but kept themselves within visual proximity of them. The operatives' stealth suits were deployed with miniature gravitational anchors on their hand and feet sections, allowing for silent wall scaling and climbing along the ceilings. This would prove to be vital in remaining unseen from hostile forces. The idea was simplified enough: Let the Scavengers find the vault, then terminate them upon discovery of any vital tech.

Some operatives had already gone ahead of the Scavengers to recon the structure. If they sensed that the Scavengers were near, they would immediately hide. Doing whatever they could to stay out of their way. If being caught seemed possible, the operatives would discreetly "silence" the observer.

The Zeleniyan capital ship engages it's sublight engines and begins to gain optimal speed, trying to pull back from the heavy fire as it continues to lay down as much fire as it can. The energized barrages overload the shielding and begin to pelt the main hull. One of the three main guns is hit and malfunctions, unable to fire. The smaller cruisers are devastated by the sudden presence of the battleship and swerve off in different directions, attempting to get away from the battleship, firing as they do.

The dropship pilot lands next to the Royal Marine's F.O.B. and hits the ramp lowering button. He dashes out of the cockpit and into the cargo bay, running through the lowering door and into the F.O.B. to deliver the message to the commander.

The Zeleniyan troops are held up in the main square of the Royal Qetesi Military sector, using their ZMP-2s, crashed Qetesi spacecraft, and other ruins as cover. They peek their heads over their cover and wipe their dirtied gasmask lenses. The ZMP-2 gun platforms swivel around, scanning with their infrared. In the distance, the roar of a VTOL engine is heard approaching.

From underground tunnels and secret government pathways, the scavengers flood the Qetesi HQ palace, and gunfire is everywhere. Scavengers are everywhere, and are fighting everyone. The scavengers yell taunts and curses at each other, over the gunfire. "Pokinau, chisno!" "Za drumyat, pidra!" "V'stupu, suki!" They are the cream of the crop, in groups of up to 20 atleast, and carrying exceptional equipment.

Volok makes his way down to the final basement level of the facility, the fighting growing closer to him. He exits the elevator and steps out, hurriedly walking down the long corridor to the large, heavy door hanging open for him. He has made it to the Vault. As he makes it half way down the hall, the other elevator doors open. He turns back, and then begins to run. A heavily armored man steps out and looks down the hallway at him, and immediately raises his weapon attached to his right hand.

Volok peels around the corner as the high pitched whine of the machine gun deafens him in the small corridor. The weapon spews out 4.7mm rounds at extremely high velocity, and a high rate of fire. The man steps forward and out of the elevator, continuing to fire as his squad mates step around him and advance. The gun emits no shell casings as it fires.

Cowering behind the wall, he looks to his left, a small control panel for the door. He quickly pulls out his PDA and fumbles with the jack for Qetesi tech. He plugs it into the PDA and quickly tries to run the biological scan bypass. The high pitched whine of the gun stops abruptly, followed by several running footsteps. The blast door beeps, and begins to close slowly. Volok backs away and pulls out his rifle, aiming it at the door from an angle. The door is a few centimeters from closing when several bodies hit it, pushing against it. It slows for a moment, but closes. It magnetically seals itself and beeps again. Volok stumbles back against the wall, and slides down in, panting heavily. He then looks to his right, seeing a simple room with blank walls, and a single light shining down on a sealed, heavily armored container. He picks up his PDA, and moves to it. He plugs in the jack and gets to work to open the Vault.

Outside of the door, the squad of scavengers curses and bangs against the door. The man in the heavily armored suit looks to the door, then to one of the men. He simply says,"Open it." And turns away, watching down the opposite end of the hallway. The squad faces the same direction, as the Rhg'Zezian squad member given an order turns around and pulls off the upper part of his gasmask, revealing his cybernetically advanced eyes. Wires ran from under his armor up into the back of his skull, going under the skin and leading to a square shaped imprint on his skull, obviously a computer chip. He cracks his fingers and takes out his own PDA, beginning to work on the door.

With the destruction of the planetary blockade seemingly within their grasp, the unknown fleet pressed the offensive. An additional two ships deactivated their cloak shroud, appearing as missile-class cruisers. Both missile cruisers had twenty-four silos. The cruisers began to lock onto the flagship, the auto-loader systems preparing anti-ship and plasma missiles. They launch all missiles at the flagship. ( 24 anti-ship / 24 plasma )

The artillery frigates halted their movement, realizing that the flagship was now on a full retreat. However, the flagship was pressed with it's back against the planet and it's flanks wide open to an assault. They opened another barrage, but two additional hits from the Republic flagship hits one of the artillery frigates along it's starboard side, causing a chain of internal explosions that detonates one of it's artillery weapons. The ensuring explosion is so destructive that the frigate is left crippled and burning, forcing it to retreat through slipspace before it is destroyed completely.

Meanwhile, the battleship ceases it's fire on the wrecked Republic cruisers and outright ignores the flagship. Instead, it aims it's array of weapons down upon the planet, firing volley upon volley of energy beams at Republic sites that had been sighted and mapped by the stealth op. recon force during their initial attack.

The Adjutant:

All communication systems across all channels on Qailësel and the Republic fleet would receive an incoming transmission. Unless they turned off the system manually, they would hear the calm, soothing voice of a woman. Though the message she relayed was vile and disturbing.

"Bro̕thȩrs and͏ Si͟st͜ers̕ ̨of́ ͘Kub͝r̸e͟t͡z͢o͢v, r͡e̕p̕e͢ņt̛. Y̧ou̴ have c͞òme ́hȩre̕ ͏to̴ d̀i̸e."̕

On the ground level, the stealth operatives were prepared for their assault. Upon seeing bright-red beams of light coming crashing down in the distance, they returned to their positions. The signal had been given. They rose their weaponry and focused fire on the Republic troop carriers, realizing that they were the greatest threat, as well as acting cover for the enemy troops. While plasma bolts were hurled at the Republic vehicles, the sniper nests began to take shots at the marines whom had support weaponry or were at a tactical position. The rest of the 366 operatives began to open fire upon the remaining forces from the front. The marine platoon was being fired upon from all sides, effectively pinned in place and outflanked.

The two squads of stealth operatives reacted to the sudden roar of gunfire, stepping quietly through the facility until they reached a hallway entrance where the sounds had come from. The operatives pressed themselves against the sides that lead into the hallway, watching a group of scavengers attempt to breach a massive blastdoor. A large and armored figure that covered them was the greatest threat, bearing heavy weaponry. They pulled back, rethinking their strategy for a moment.

They had no alternative. There was only one way to the vault, and their orders were clear. They couldn't risk to damage the device that the scavengers were working on, and began to open fire with their energy rifles from the other side of the hallway at the scavengers. Their focus was the heavy weapon that the armored figure was carrying. If it was destroyed, the mop-up would surely become an easy task.

The ZRS Batruka is devastated by the barrage, it shudders and shakes, its many layered hull being breached in several places. Fires spread throughout the ship, and total chaos reigns. The captain looks to her second in command, her expression grim. As the propaganda is broadcasted, she says,"Full retreat." Her second in command swallowed and nodded once, turning to take the intercom microphone. "Set course for Kubretzov, launch signal probes, prepare for jump."

The flagship launches several probes that relay encrypted codes to the two cruisers. The cruisers turn away and engage all power to propulsion as they turn towards the flagship. One of the cruisers is hit in a vital point, and succumbs to the planet's gravity. It slowly turns down towards the planet. Escape pods are launched, and dropships are scuttled from the hangar bays. The cruiser crashes through the atmosphere, its hull a great inferno. It crashes into the ruined city and sends a shockwave that can be felt for many kilometers. The buildings around it immediately crumble. It explodes even further as its engine core and heavy munitions cook off.

The Royal Marines commander, in his command bunker, looks over a holographic battlefield visualization, giving orders to his officers. The bunker is filled with several voices speaking over radio. All radio comms are broken for the propaganda message. Everyone's faces turn grim as they listen to the message. A moment later a radioman sits up and says,"Sir, decrypting message from a message probe." The commander steps over to him,"Well, what is it?" The young soldier takes off his headset and clenches his fists, looking at the screen. "Fleet.. is in full retreat. Protocol 12." The commander ponders this, and then nods,"Inform the army protocol 12 is in effect, everyone! Get on the move, I want this bunker scuttled, we're relocating!"

They never had the chance to escape, the bunker was obliterated by a barrage the next second, the last message it sends out being,"Fleet is in retreat. Protocol 12. Protocol 12."

The platoon holds its ground, their commander declaring,"Protocol 12, no surrender!"

The ZMP-2s let out a flurry of fire. They fire their laser guided missiles at tracers and level buildings with their 40mm cannons. Within a few moments, two of the ZMP-2s are destroyed. A crewman scrambles out of the gunner hatch and rolls out, in a blaze. He rolls around on the ground, yelling,"Wabogil, wabogil!" and letting out a shrill cry. The marines hold their ground, and return suppressing fire at the tracers. The platoon commander is shot in the chest and falls over, his radioman rushing to him and grabbing him. Blood seeps out from under his gasmask, as he sputters, his voice shaking,"Vengeful Angel.." He grabs the radioman by the neck,"Order, Vengeful.. Angel." The radioman nods once, as the commander goes limp. He drops him and takes the radio receiver, pinning himself against a toppled column and covering his head as he relays a message.

The VTOL gunship has arrived, scanning the area with it's infrared. It radios in,"Chava 1-6 this is Dancemaster 1, we are entering A-O, call your shots." Almost instantly, a message is received back,"Chava 1-6, Chava 1-6, Vengeful Angel, I repeat, Vengeful Angel!" The pilot returns the message calmly,"Copy that Chava 1-6, Vengeful Angel, coming in danger close." The pilot speaks to his gunner,"Rev up, mark your targets, fire at will."

The gunship soars over the battlefield. It is a Yelenov-6 Gunship, nicknamed the "Flying Armory" because of its extensive list of weapons. On its nose is a tri-barreled 30mm cannon, with 750 rounds. On its wings it carries 2 anti-tank missiles, and 2 anti-infantry missile pods, each with 30 HE rockets. As makes a gun-run, its infrared scanner picks up many targets. The gunner lets loose with the 30mm cannon, while the pilot fires a barrage of the HE rockets. It pulls off and launches flares to disrupt lock-on signals. It circles in its flight pattern, and goes in for another gun-run.

But the marines are being devastated, they are dying left and right. A cry comes out from one of the ZMP-2s,"We can't fucking sit here all day, we need to move!" But no one replied, there was no where to go.

The scavengers scan the hallway down, pointing their guns menacingly. Suddenly, a plasma bolt hits the armored man in the chest. He stumbles back, then lets out a war cry,"Uuuuuuuuuraaaaaa!" He steps forward, bits of his armor melting off the heavy chest plate. As he steps forward, the gun lets out its high pitched whine again, spewing the 4.7mm caseless ammo down range at an extremely high velocity, with a rate of fire that could rival a minigun. His comrades fire down the hallway with their gauss weapons, one of them standing in front of the hacker, who only gives the firefight a glance as he works.

Volok, who does not hear the gunfire from behind the blast door, opens the container after bypassing more security protocols. He sets down his PDA and reaches in. He grabs onto something and pulls it out. It is a purple orb contained inside of a clear cube. It fluctuates with energy, mini-structures within the cube seem to be suppressing it. He fiddles with it, and it opens. He stares into it momentarily, then reaches in and touches it. Instantly it feels as if his head is caving in on itself, and he collapses to the ground, a few drops of blood dripping from his nostrils. He screams, gripping his head, the cube is dropped. It seals itself up and clatters across the floor.

With the remaining Republic fleet elements either destroyed or fleeing, an unknown ship of colossal size enters the sector in addition to an armada of strategic stealth bombers, interceptors, gunships and cloaked dropships of various sizes. This was now an invasion in full gear. The unknown fleet went out of cloak and approached the planet, seeking to block it as their opponent had before them.

This armada of smaller crafts descend upon the planet like carrion birds, the interceptors leaning down to destroy whatever air elements the Republic and scavengers were holding onto for support. Gunships would escort the dropships as they deloyed a total of 37,000 soldiers, air and mechanized support elements.

The battleship would cease it's fire, and return to attach itself to the fleet.

As the Republic gunship arrived, it began to devastate the stealth operatives. It's heavy armaments and infrared left them more or less without cover and their armour held no resistance towards the large caliber rounds and explosives thrown their way. 43 operatives are literally ripped apart, and many more are re-adjusting their positions to avoid the gunship. Yet their assault does not give in. They continue to fire upon the marines, and the gunship itself - and were even charging the marine lines in squads, cloaked, attempting to get in point-blank ranges so they could rip the Republic soldiers apart with their superior muscular augments, instilling psychological terror.

Meanwhile, a dropship and two interceptors approach the besieged Qetesi Military Headquarters. The interceptors would use their advanced targeting systems to lock-on and deploy a single plasma missile on it. The interceptors, being fast-flyers, would then pass the Headquarters and turn for a gun-run on the remnant Marine forces closest to the Headquarter entrance.

The dropship would deploy fifty metres from the combat zone, deploying aprox. 250 heavily armed and armored units ( Praetorians ) and a large, and unknown mechanized walker of a bizarre design. These forces would move towards the Headquarters upon full deployment.

The stealth operatives continued their attack on the Scavenger's heavy trooper, three being shot apart by the rapid firing weapon system it was carrying. One of the operatives then activated a plasma grenade and threw it a metre apart from the scavengers. It risky, but the blast might terminate the scavengers while leaving the small device unharmed. The heavy scavenger at the front may act as a shielding for the blast as well, taking the brunt of it.

Captain Zygboyum stands at the bridge, watching the invading fleet on screen. As the fleet prepares to warp out, her eyes dart over the many gunships and other vehicles entering the atmosphere.

"The same vengeful fury our ancestors once held will rise from the grave."

The Zeleniyan fleet leaves the planet.

The marines sat in eery quiet, their weapons were red hot, and the call for ammo was yelled from many machinegunners. The last strafing run seemed to have quieted the elite units. They peer through the heavy dust again, wiping their lenses. Silent. They look to each other, perhaps believing that they had won. Suddenly, a shortrange radio transmission from the two remaining ZMP-2s as they went into full reverse,"Contact front, in stealth!" The ZMP-2s back up and engage with their heavy machineguns.

The marines start firing in front of them. Suddenly, stealth units uncloaked one by one behind or next to them and fired at point blank. The marines started shooting all around them. One of them vaults cover with an LMG and starts spraying in front of him, screaming,"Come and get me, come and fucking get me!" He is suddenly quieted, and falls over face first, a knife appearing in the back of his neck.

The marines are tough, but they no where as strong as the augmented soldiers. Squinting through the dust, a Lance Corporal fires at a silhouette in front of him. He freezes and swivels his head around, the augmented soldier uncloaks on his side and swings his knife at his neck. He dodges, the knife cutting his gasmask tube. He coughs and sputters, collapsing to the ground on all fours, one of his hands goes up to his chest. The soldier kicks him over, and he lays on the ground with a grenade in his hand, letting the safety pin pop off. He raises it up and wheezes,"Za Zeleniyna."

The marines take heavy casualties. While most fight to the death, a few fresh recruits and shell shocked soldiers throw their weapons down and kneel, covering their heads. The ZMP-2s reverse into the great staircase of the Qetesi HQ, still firing all while this goes on.

As the gunship turns in to go for another run, several alarms go off. "Shit, missile!" The pilot kicks the throttle forward and dumps flares, the missile swerves off into the flares and explodes. He glances down at his radar as three red triangles descend on him. He dives into the city, taking sharp turns around the buildings to try and lose them. Tracers zip all around them, audibly hitting their vehicle. As he cuts another corner, a gunship is waiting for him, hovering in the street. He curses, his gunner holding down on the joystick and spraying the weapon madly. The opposing gunship sprays the cockpit. The two pilots are hit and collapse into their controls. The gunship veers down into the street and crashes, rolling over several times.

Chava company is destroyed, the other two companies of the Royal 3rd Marines have taken up Protocol 12. They disengage their enemy contacts, ditch their vehicles, destroy their company headquarters, and spread themselves into the ruins. They knew that Zeleniyan high command was bound by military law to return to planets declared as Protocol 12. Their duty now was to hide like the scavengers they had once hunted, and put up a fight against the unknown enemy until their salvation would arrive.

All around the planet, a mass exodus of scavengers begins. Their concealment is destroyed as they rocket off into the atmosphere, those with stealth trying to sneak past the dark fleet, those without trying to get away as fast as possible. The only ones that remain now are the fighting factions in the great halls of the Qetesi HQ.

The heavily armored Rhg'Zezian keeps holding down on the trigger, spraying the entire hall. The wall behind the stealth unit is riddled with tiny bullet holes. As the grenade is tossed down the hall, the Rhg'Zezian stops firing, and watches it land in front of his feet, frozen. In his deep voice, he merely replies, "Chyort." The grenade explodes, the armored man doing a pirouette, his followers fall as well. The hacker is thrown into the wall, and collapses. He rolls onto his back and wheezes, blood seeping down his forehead. His back has shielded the PDA, it hangs by the jack, the screen cracked from being crushed by the hacker. He sits in a daze, rolling his head around and trying to get his senses back.

The unknown fleet stabilized itself above planetary orbit, it's dominion ensured. Whatever remnants of stragglers that attempted to leave the sector were shot down by interceptors or the main fleet itself before they could retreat. Meanwhile, the ground forces were mopping up whatever resistance remained, being far more aggressive than the Republic with their "occupation."

Additionally, large cargo freighters were arriving and landing planet-side to be loaded with materials and resources that were secured by the invasion force. Heavily guarded mobile mining platforms were also deployed onto the planet at viable sectors to perform mining operations for that quick extra income.

Down on the planet below, the invasion force had begun slaughtering refugees and Republic stragglers wherever they were found. Meanwhile, stealth bombers were reducing entire sectors that they deemed unprofitable into hot goop.

There was minor resistance met, but they were of little note and were eventually or immediately routed. And the engagement at the Qetesi Military Headquarters was about to end.

Squads of stealth ops were mowed down by the retreating personnel carrier, having the sense to run into cover shortly afterward. The stealth units advanced on the shattered marine lines, now supported by fresh reinforcements of heavy stormtroops. Any survivors or individuals attempting to surrender were executed on sight. It was obvious that they had a "shoot first, ask questions never" policy.

A few of the advancing stormtroopers fire a volley of anti-armour plasma bolts into the main lobby of the Military Headquarters, hopefully taking out the pesky vehicle that had held their forces at bay. Additionally, they began to form defensive lines and scan the area around the site.

The operatives dashed forward as the smoke cleared, surrounding and raising their weapons upon the Hacker. Seeing the scavenger in direct connection with the PDA device, they realized that he might still prove to be useful to their objective.

- "Open it, and you will be allowed to leave with your life. Additionally, you will receive a sum of ten thousand galactic credits. Make your choice wisely."
