The ZRS Batruka exits hyperspace and enters the planet's far orbit. Kaptionniy Zygboyum stands at the helm, and looks over the view of the planet. "Quite beautiful. But it seems the Republic has other priorities." She points to a crewman,"Send a message probe back and tell them it's ready for claiming." The crewman nods and begins typing into his console.

An unmanned winged craft shoots out from the side of the ship and enters hyperspace, making it's way back to Kuztnetsov.

Appearing from the silence of the void space, a lone Saerid Directive ship appears. It progressively goes closer to the planet, rapidly scanning the surface with the ship's radars. It's communications array seem to be buzzing with high frequency noises.

As the two ships jump into the system, radiological alarms deafen the ships. The nearby pulsating neutron star rotates its magnetic pole around and passes near the planet. Electromagnetic radiation floods the areas potentially damaging any electronic equipment not shielded properly, or hidden behind the planet.

If scanners are not fried or completely jammed by the interference, one can determine the planet shields from the magnetic pole rotation and there is a period of about ten minutes between star rotations.

The Saerid ship rolls on but most of the communications seems to have cease, now remaining silent, besides the constant roar of alarms buzzing off. It doesn't really have an effect on the units so they continue on as they try and solve the problem the alarms went on for. They quickly jet to the planet, thinking it would be safer closer to it. The units power up the weapons systems in case it shows that the ship that is near them is interfering with the Saerid's systems. Most of the ship seems unhindered from the radioactivity but nothing seems to be operating besides the engines and the advanced AI on the ship to navigate them to the planet.

The planet seems a wonder, it's unique magnetic field seem so protect the planet from dangerous neutron radiation while it remains subject to reoccurring electromagnetic waves. The planet is in an early stage of evolution, it's plant life is emerging quite quickly and there are some small avian and insect species.

If on the dark side of the planet, one could see that the planet holds many fuel resources that can be accessed by hydraulic fracturing. One must dedicate a lot of scientific knowledge and resources to successfully overcome this planet's challenges.

The hangars of the Saerid ship opens and releases two THOR class fighter ships to make their way to the surface of the planet after the cruiser comes relatively close to it. The units don't know much about what is attacking them but the captain believes it's best to travel closer to the planet for protection.

Breaching the atmosphere after approaching from the protected side of the planet, the dark side, the THOR class fighter ships land against the barren planet. The scanners on the ship seem to be mostly in tact as they are no longer receiving the technology killing EMP from the star near them. The units begin environmental checks. One THOR ignores these precautions though and one unit steps out from the cockpit. The unit knows that most of the effects of the planet will not harm it because it is not organic. It looks around rapidly and keeps within distance of his ship while holding a standard gauss rifle. The cruiser in space adjusts it's thrusters to follow around the planet and away from the star to protect itself and the units on board.

The planet is mostly grassland, although there are patches of muck pits that spew vapors from underground reservoirs of unrefined fuel supplies. Harnessing the energy of the planet will be tricky.

Appearing from the ship, the machines move around as more THORs breach the atmosphere and land near the first batch of THORs came. They don't know much on how to harvest the fuel but they communicate back to the cruiser drifting around the planet's darkside to protect it against the electronic pulses emitting from the nearby star. The cruiser then transmits messages across the sector to a closer one.

The pulsar comes about again, the electromagnetic beam passes over the planet. The ZRS Batruka, seeing as it did not move has its electronics and power sources fried out. The crew will drift helplessly unless saved, or dies by lack of power to CO2 scrubbers.

The planet rotates quite slowly, but the dark side of the planet will eventually face the sun. The planet waits to be tapped for resources.

After a few moments of receiving and transmitting messages, the cruiser, that's drifting around the planet to avoid the EMP blast coming from the nearby star, descends to the the planet surface near the THORs and lands very carefully, after picking a relatively clear area on the planet. THe hangars open and many ursine and Saerid units pile out onto the planet holding equipment from their home sector. A party of about fifteen troopers patrol around the camp from any wildlife that could pose a threat.

Many hours pass and the workforce of the massive cruiser achieve remarkable progress for the short amount of time they have been on the planet. Buildings rise up to be used as offices and communications for the planet. Large drilling stations are around the site and are covered with smaller containers with gauges on them. The units waste no time and eagerly start harnessing the natural gasses near them.

Seeing the light slowly approach the camp, the units hastily board the cruiser that has landed on the surface. Only the Ursine stay, as they are unaffected by the pulses, to maintain the equipment and pump the natural gas into the canisters for personal use later. The cruiser doesn't leave the system, however, but follows the dark side of the planet away from the pulses and maintain radio contact with the surface.

While still awaiting a response from the peoples of The League of Stars, the bridge of the Typhon class ship is alight with men, scrolling over a Holomap of the sector as pieces are built from scannings taken from across the sector. Searching for a quick, untitled planet that could help yield fuel production and aid in their war effort, they proceed to examine signs for any planet that may prove useful that they could harvest from.

Eventually, their scanners breathe forth a particularly interesting sample, a planet beheld as P3X-8472 by galactic standards. The readings are harsh, but what they can ascertain through, perhaps algebraic, calculations is a planet high in fuel resources. Leaving the beacon to receive and hold the message should it arrive in the minutes they will be away instead of the hours they've waited for a response, they prepare their ship for warp.

Soon enough, the Typhon class ship is prepared, and far enough away from the League of Stars to warp away with complete confidence in safety. Once the warp ceases, the lone ship stands outside of the orbit of the planet, on the opposite side of the other two, already landed ships. Similar to those that came before, it seems that scanning and communications equipment begin to fail in the proximity of this planet. The ship readies a full platoon of men descend to the surface of the ship and survey the habitation.

The platoons are assigned for optimal efficiency, putting several high ranking troops on the line for this research. There are to be three groups of three, and each group consisting of two Reaver Hellions, elite soldiers specialized in Hazardous Enviornment encounters, and Naval Operations/Combat. The third member of each squad is made up of a member of the GEARs, master engineers and technicians also trained and armed for combat. These three man teams are instructed to land at three precise coordinate zones on the planet's surface, and ascertain the planet's value to the Republic. The men are quickly briefed, and understand the situation. They are to quickly land, survey the landscape, and return to the Agamemnon. Should the planet prove viable and useful, then reinforcements will be called to help surveying and perhaps colonization of this world.

Quickly, three dropships are readied, and prepared for descent to the planet. Each squadron is loaded into a dropship, and say their farewells, before descending towards the planet's surface.

The Ursine troopers and mechanical specialists suffer no penalty from being on the day time side of the planet and continue to reap the natural gas and fill up the canisters of it. With communications being wiped out, the Ursine try to think of ways to protect such valuable equipment. The Saerid ship fires a few shots toward the unknown descending ships, that are moving toward the planet, but don't hit any on purpose. The units try to scare the ships into stopping and, sending flurry of binary code toward the main ship and await an answer.

You are trespassing in a UCUS colonized sector. Halt and submit to inspection or you will be fired upon.
After sending the message multiple THOR fighter ships are sent out of the hangar and toward the unknown ship. The communications from the UCUS ship spike again, most likely contacting the main fleet in the adjacent sector.

The THOR fighter ships stop, nearly at the main arsenal power up, should the unknown ship prove to be a threat. The small ship await for the alien ship to open its hangars for them to dock. Off in the distance the cruiser has its guns on standby as well as the advanced AI on board scan the ship, looking for weapons and various other things.

The UCUS has claimed this planet for its resources. We advise you to leave the planet and the sector. This is our way of naturally expanding in the galaxy and, noticing your space trail you come from far away. We operate closer to this sector and will defend it if need be.
The sounding many units filing out into the hangar and they board their respected THOR class fighter ships in case of hostilities. The ships fly out of the hangars and drift around the main cruiser.

The Azraelic Craft stays still in the planet's dark atmosphere. The hangar doors begin to open for the THOR ship that approaches, allowing access to the Agamemnon. The ship shows no sign of arming any weaponry, bracing kinetic shielding for a brash action. The THOR ship is given pleasant room to land, the hangar floor open for the guest craft while its own are lined against the side; consisting of various dropships.

A message is then sent to the opposite crafts. "You may land."

Standing in the catwalks above are men carrying anti-personal weapons, their hands are free however, not showing an attempt at ambush or an attack of their ship. They are restrained as well, as the only other thing on the main floor of the hangar are three bold figures, awaiting the beings within the THOR ship to disembark. Everyone in the hangar is obviously wearing breathers, and a light kinetic shielding keeps the vacuum of space from voiding the hangar, while still allowing the ship to enter.

The three figures, standing ready to meet those who would examine their ship, are obviously revered as the commanding officers of this vessel; the highly trained soldiers, warriors, and officers in the catwalk all stand at perfect attention.

The large battle fighters land in the hangar after the doors open. High frequency noises are heard in the multiple THORs. The noises cease and large mechanical structures appear out, nearly 7'4 tall and carrying large guass technology rifles for protection. Among them one Ursine trooper exits the each ship, holding an even large variant of the guass rifle. The units, and the Ursine, aim the rifle down but station it against them should the unknown aliens turn hostile.

The Azraelic Humanoids remain passive, armed, but passive, as the newcomers enter their simple ship. The Agamemnon welcomes the newcomers well enough, letting them step into their hangar bay systems and beyond. The three prime figures stand at the end of the hangar, alone, unarmed, and looking at their new guests.

One is a large male with curious features, ceremonial armor, and four eyes, a beefy member of the Nimuo race.
One is a female, with four eyes, practical work attire, and similar alien-esque features to those humans carry; she is Nimuo.
The last is another male specimen, well dressed in shining ceremonial armor, with slighty scarred, charming features under black hair; this figure is a human.

The three of them stand and wait for their guests to approach.

As the units lead the way to for the group, the large polar bear like Ursine troopers push any figure that comes close to them back, shoving multiple aside for the units in front of them. The Ursine wear long red capes and armored body armor while the Saerid, made of precious metal and nearly as tall as the Ursine, possess red painted stripes along the body of the unit, suggesting rank. Though the figures don't seem hostile, the Ursine are far more aggressive, showing their size and brute strength. The Ursine size the human like figures as the walk, large sword like weapons against their back in a sheath while the Saerid show a certain level of professionalism. The unknown aliens might notice a package of sorts hidden away in the core of the Saerid, but it is well hidden against the large figures.
