Colonists report today that the colonization efforts are proceeding far beyond expectations and the military is setting up full bases all over. Its a glorious day when our military can do so much to protect us.

In other news, the Soter Navy reports it has new materials to replace its outdated capacitors. Its ships will be able to do everything with electricity much faster. All ships are to be refitted immediately with new parts. All [Classified information has been censored] in the Soter Navy will be equipped very shortly thanks to the new space docks on Novus Spera.

A band of mutants attempted to scale the west wall in Fortress City One. They were stopped by our lead Ranger, but not before they shot a rocket into the air with their message attached. "Mutants are people too!"
HAH! That will be the day. All mutants were killed while resisting arrest.

Satellite Galactic 24 had two hours of weightlessness when power went out due to a solar flare. The problem was shortly corrected, but not before these whacky antics...... Ugh god... These fucking people and this fucking government making me have these stupid damned political sto-..... What? What do you mean the camera's still on!? YOU DIDN'T CHANGE!?

{ Corporate entities around the private sector are changing their focus on military hardware, technologies and manufacturing. Once-civilian firms are now revealing themselves to have hidden weapons factories spread across the known systems. Additionally, a charter revealing the construction of several fleet-vessels has recently turned up.

Today in technological news, scientists are excited to report a breakthrough in powered armor technologies. With the power supplies having been fully implemented over the course of several months, the scientists have finally developed a new alloy which is substantially lighter than the hardest metals, while being several times more powerful. The chief scientist behind the project had this to say.

Well as most of this is pretty classified I can only tell you a bit. The suit we're planning to build makes the wearer larger for one, and substantially stronger. The suit isn't robotic, it feeds off a person's movement, so they move by jumping. Its hard to imagine yes I know but eventually we plan on installing everything a soldier needs in these suits. They'll be able to jump over buildings, then clear them, tear through walls of solid steel, have several weapons at all time, and still have the dexterity and agility to dance and pick up an egg without breaking it. As this is just a prototype, expect the future models to be more sleek and streamlined. But Major Hawthorne would you please demonstrate what we can do now?

The camera pans out to show a prototype suit picking up an egg and proceeding to dance, the suit then walks over to a reinforced wall and punches through it.

Its nice to see that our technology continues to improve, as these new technologies will be brought to our consumers at home. In other news, a hasty divorce was filed when Robert Anton and his wife Angelica got into a shouting match. The man being roughly 500 pounds, grew tired of the argument and ate his wife hole. He is now spending the next thirty years in an iso-cube.

In colony news, Novus Spera has finally stood up and is churning out raw materials and ships for our soldiers and civilians. It offers many goods and such that will soon flood the markets. Hundreds of military bases have opened up on the planet, along with our newest research stations. If you look up in the sky you may see our fighters, and at night on a clear day, maybe you might see the lights of our navies,

And finally our top story of the night. The President delivered a speech praising our soldiers who are now in combat over another specie's planet.

Breaking news, a Soter frigate in sector 6 reported strange happenings. They returned with this recording..."

*A video plays, the camera is shaky, possibly a hand held. A medium sized, black ship fades to color from a glowing blue armed with five different weapons. Two of which, are some kind of cannon. The ship aims one of the cannons at a nearby debris field. The cannon's top barrel fires, the round hitting almost instantly. When the metal is hit, a glowing yellow 'dust' shows covering the side. The metal piece quickly starts to dissolve away. You can hear someone in the back ground mumble "Holy sh-*the rest is censored out*.". When the metal is gone, the glow fades and the ship turns to the glowing blue before dissapearing.*

"This is a startling revelation about life outside the galaxy, from what the scanners read, some microscopic electronics were picked up while the debris dissolved, then faded away. Rest assured, Soter scientists are going over the data as we speak, finding new ways to keep you safe. Today the Republic of Soter grows as record high births are confirmed this year.

In other news mutant crime is on the rise. More and more mutants attempting to scale the walls are being killed or incarcerated. This sudden influx could be attributed to rad storms from increased mining, though sources are not conclusive.

Reports from Novus Spera research labs indicate that current research into power armor has proven a resounding success. While the first models coming out are purely prototypes, they are slotted to replace the aging tank and infantry squads. We have been given a projected picture of the new suits.

In preparation for these new combat designs, training policies are changed entirely. Training has become much harder for new recruits. The soldiers are becoming much more elite and will now be augmented by these new suits.

In our crime related news, the leader of the church of the skin was arrested today. His religion, the belief that all skin must be shown at all times, is very controversial, but it was taken over the top when he solicited children to join his group. The Rangers immediately arrested him and he was charged with solicitation of a minor coupled with indecent exposure.

Three would be bank robbers attempted to hold up a bank today. Their plan worked out smoothly in its beginning stages, then the bank robbers decided to take a drink after their operation was completed at a bar a few blocks away. After becoming completely drunk, the robbers proceeded to return to the same bank, apparently forgetting they'd just robbed it. They were immediately apprehended by Rangers taking crime reports.

Today a man suspected of murder pulled a gun on some children, but while he was brandishing the gun, a car slammed into him, killing him instantly.

In diplomatic news, many new nations have come to Soter for aid. Soter governments have been more than happy to oblige as more trade networks have opened up throughout the galaxy.

Preparations for Zaedrax Refugees have been prepared over Novus Spera. As you know the Zaedrax home planet is currently being invaded. New stations are being constructed to house them and keep them safe. Keep your prayers for our boys in blue.

In news for the war, our power armor is finally up to speed. All ships are swapping out their tanks for power armor. The military has shrunk, training procedures are causing more and more soldiers to drop out half way. This has created a much more elite force known as the Capsule Troopers or Cap Troopers for short.

The Cap Troopers drop from their pods in fully sealed powered suits containing all the essential supplies to run a soldier for days. The power supplies last for classified periods of time and can be interchanged very quickly to allow soldiers continued movement. Also equipped on these suits are jump packs. Normally the Cap Trooper bounds very quickly through the battlefield, with the jump pack their range is expanded. The weapons systems are directly tied to the helmet allowing for greater firepower and coordination. This will save more lives on the battlefield.
