8 ships jump into the system, 4 Frigates and 4 Destroyers headed by Vice Admiral Belle Boyd of the Second Soter Scouting fleet. She immediately orders scans of all areas, deploys fighters to recon as much of the system as possible while utilizing her ships to scan deeply in all directions. The ships remain on high alert with shields up and ready to engage any forces that stumble upon them.

From the Irilyneth Union, two transport ships drop from hyperspace beyond the fleet, headed by a team of ambassador to reach an agreement for the peaceful annexation of Verisel into the Irilyneth Union.

The communications of the warships flickers on and a message is received,
"Hello, we would like to request you to remove your warships from the planet of Verisel, we are here to peacefully annex this planet in the name of the Union."

Energy readings rise across all the ships. The magnetically accelerated cannons reach full charge within seconds, all weapons point in the direction of the new ships. Fighters begin closing on the inbound ships priming their armaments.

She orders her bridge crew to relay the message including its attachments and orders all communication encrypted between ships.

All the ships spread out and begin tactically placing themselves to prepare a salvo of MAC rounds if the enemy should prove hostile.

The scans of the planet show no population below, only a young planet with a fertile soil for operations. Any plant or animal life is only in the early stages of evolution.

The ambassadors review the files and are able to make out a basic phrase in the language of Soter.

"We are here to- peacefully- take this- planet. If you would like- we could- settle an- agreement- between our- nations."

Admiral Boyd receives the message, she immediately responds

Quote :: Why should we give up the planet that rightfully belongs to the Republic of Soter? As of right now you're trespassing in our space. We have superiority in numbers as well as technology, what possible reason could you give us to allow you use of this agricultural planet?

The fighters continue their approach toward the new ships, while the Soter fleet's MAC computers plot trajectories to hit the Union ships.

Recieving the message, the ambassadors review the files sent to them and respond.

"We would only ask to- station some- troops on Verisel to- protect our- homeland. We will not take- unreasonable- amounts of- land. Only enough to feed a few- soldiers and to- build a- military- base there."

The ambassadors on the other ship relay a message back to Aranyan telling them of the Republic of Soter's appearance near Verisel.

The Admiral sends a reply

The ambassador's response was initally a swift and brief response full of empty bravado. Thinking over the resonse he calls back oiver communications.

"Perhaps there is something you would like from us? We have precious metals of gold and silver if you are interested in exchange for parts of land on Verisel."

The Admiral calls off her fighters as they reach striking distance. The fighters streak off to the sides of the ships and begin looping around to return to the fleet. Two do a quick fly by and scan the Union ships. They then proceed to return to the fleet.

The Admiral responds

The Irilyneth Ambassador beams with delight at the sound of this,

"If you would send us the coordinates for where you would like us to deliver the materials, we will inform our High Chancellor of the new trade routes, we are in need of machine parts, if you have any to spare in exchange for our precious metals we would be most gracious."

The Admiral sends a reply

Pyura Station's coordinates are sent to the ships in orbit. Several drop ships leave the fleet in orbit and head toward the planet and moon. The magnetically accelerated cannons shut down while shields stay up. The fleet shifts to a scanning stance and begin cataloging everything on the planet.

Receiving the coordinates of the Space Station, the ambassadors wait for scans to be complete before landing on the planet. When they land, they let off their soldiers and send communications back to Aranyan, where one newly constructed Union destroyer lays in wait for it's maiden voyage. Alongside the two remaining transporters filled with settlers.

Dropping out of hyperspace, are three ships, one a destroyer and two transporters, they orbit around the planet and eventually land where the signals from the ambassador's ships were sent, the settlers disembark and immediately begin work on a permanent communications tower to base the new settlement around.

After some time the Irilyneth Union has constructed three other communications towers on the planet, dividing the planet into four quadrants. Housing and agricultural projects have been flourishing amongst the four settlements. Among the improvements are some basic defense structures, utilizing large MACs, there are four of these defense turrets built around each of the four settlements, and a steady flow of transporters with materials and settlers has been established between Verisel and the Irlyneth homeworld, Aranyan. Presently, engineers on the planet are working on establishing a permanent mining operation on the planet's moons, Verisel'sa and Verisel'so, so that they may establish their own fleet in order to defend themselves from an intergalactic foe.
