For Checking Emails

I stopped using the old checkbyip method, that was only giving us the Mail server's IP and caused some problems.

Now, I use: http://www.spokeo.com/email-search and I just check to see if there's a person attached to the email. Usually, it will tell you that much. If you need to ID an email for an inactivated user, you can use that. Tend to mix it up with some google searches just to confirm, or if the spokeo search comes out lacking.
