- Full Name:Narresh Shartha
Nickname(s):Various snake related puns from non-nagas Gender:Male Age:24 Race:Naga Languages:Naga (Nagonese?), Sidan, Common (Though he has struggled to overcome it, he still occasionally speaks with a heavily "s" based accent at times.) Birthplace: Marseth - Marseth is one of the few remaining enclaves of the naga, it is a city built in a desert valley. Known for it's nearby geothermal hot springs. Occupation:Merchant - Narresh is one of a newly selected group of nagas who have been sent out into the world, trading rare naga goods for items the cities can not make themselves. They also serve as informers, each telling their city of the goings on in the world.

- Hair Colour:Black
Hair Style: Very long, sometimes set in a partial ponytail Eye Colour: Green Skin Tone: Tanned Height: 7' from head to base of tail, 12' total length - When standing straight up he is 7', but when moving or relaxing he generally "stands" around 6'. He is frequently annoyed at the lack of appropriate seating for him, so he settles for simply coiling up on the floor. Weight:500lb. - Take into account the length of his body, this actually isn't that much. Body Type:Somewhat lean and muscular Distinguishing Features:Narresh is often seen wearing various types of jewelry, from rings and necklaces, to golden hair pieces and tail rings. While not truly cold-blooded, nagas are very sensitive to the cold, and therefore enjoy hot areas, Narresh is no exception.
Personality:Unlike many of the present day naga, who border on xenophobia, Narresh finds the foreign culture of the other races to be interesting, which is why he was found as a perfect fit for his city's Merchant Corp. While a relatively friendly sort, he is still having trouble not looking down upon many of the "lesser races", especially humans. However, when it comes time to make a deal, he is willing to throw any prejudices away for the sake of the profit.
- Biography:
Narresh was born in the city of Marseth, one of the few remaining naga enclaves. His father was a guardsman and his mother was an attendant to the princess. Growing up, he loved to listen to his grandfather tell him tales of the old years, the days when the Naga empire ruled the Sidan rainforests, before their great fall. Narresh would dream of one day seeing the world beyond his city, perhaps one day seeing the grand city of Nasii, which had fallen to the Sidans long ago, or even going beyond the desert, to see what had become of the rest of the world. Narresh's grandfather, a wise old man, saw this wonder and excitement for the outside world early in Narresh's life, traits that had been sadly lacking in his own children. So, he began to teach Narresh, beyond what was simply taught in their academy, beyond simple history and swordmanship, basic magic and duties of his position. He taught him about the outside world, many lessons that the academy would never even touch. Narresh learned ancient kings and legends, learned of the fall of other old nations, not just his own. His grandfather taught him the art of conversation, how the right word can stab just as deeply as any blade. All the while, Narresh continued his own studies, he frequently visited the grand library of Marseth, learning the laws of magic, of special interest to him were the tomes of conjuration. While the most powerful forms of conjuration had been outlawed following the fall of the Empire, the art was still commonplace among most naga societies.
However, by far his most favorite activity came once every five years. For it was for one week every half decade that the Dvergar came to his city to trade. They would come bringing all manner of devices, precious metals, and items of such amazing craftsmanship it could bring a being to tears. Narresh loved this time, not always for the goods themselves (though, he was always amazed by them), but for the deals that were done between the two races. Two different cultures came together for mutual gain, sometimes arguing, sometimes agreeing, but always working together for the good of their people. He loved the sight, the feel of it all, so it was no wonder that one day, shortly after one of these week long trading festivals, Narresh was one of the first to sign up for the newly formed Merchant Corp.
So, Narresh began the final phase of his training, learning the current languages and cultures of the outside world. He quickly grasped the languages of Common and Sidan, both spoken and written, and tried his best to understand the culture of these strange, bipedal beings. Before long, the time came for his first trading mission. Lots were drawn, and Narresh was selected to go to the city of Imperia in the nation of Talibar. Slightly disappointed, he was given a very outdated map and shown where they believed Imperia should still be. He quickly set to gathering his belongings together and boarded the carriage he was supplied with. The strange four-legged creatures used to pull it were foreign to him, but he decided that this was simply the first in a long line of new experiences he would know. Finally, he was led off to the edge of the city, where he was met with a group of mercenaries hired to help assist in transporting the goods to their destination. Narresh felt his excitement welling up inside him, he was finally going to get to follow his dream, he would see the world and all it had to offer, he shall take the world by storm one day, and Imperia shall be his first (metaphorical) step!
"Ssso, uh... where are we exxactly?" Narresh questioned the man walking beside him, the mercenary captain. "'Cordin' t' this map, should be closin in on that 'Peria place, never been in this part 'o Aeria 'afore though, so I wouldn't know." Narresh sighed as his horse driven carriage trodded on, he leaned back to examine the few crates that had been placed with him: perfumes and incense, naga cuisine, a few weapons wrapped in cloth, a small barrel of naga wine, and a small crate of jewelry. The rest of the merchandise was in the other carriages, led by the mercenaries. Narresh decided he would lay down for a time, just take a rest for a moment, but no sooner had he gotten comfortable when he heard a sudden, unpleasant *twang* and the slight sound of wetness. Narresh quickly leaned up to ask the captain what the noise was, but as he looked to his side, he noticed there was no one there. "Bandits!" cried one of the mercenaries, as a gang of masked men began to descend upon the caravan. With the sudden commotion, the horses driving Narresh's carriage quickly darted off down the road, speeding away on the first turn they came upon. Narresh hung upon the carriage for dear life, unsure of what had just happened, but with enough of an idea to know he didn't want to be back there with the other men.
After a few hours of travel, the horses sometimes galloping, sometimes trotting, the image of a town finally began to rise up before him. Surely this must be Imperia, was the thoughts of Narresh, though the city did look rather... plain for the capitol of a nation. He awkwardly began to maneuver the horses down the road to the city, slowly coming upon a freshly placed sign. Leaning over, Narresh began to read the sign, a confused expression coming upon his face, "... Butt Hole Road?"
- Skills:
Skills give as: Novice | Adept | Journeyman | Master
History: Naga: Journeyman/Master - Narresh is well versed in the history of his people, having been taught it since he first understood spoken word.
History: Ancient World: Journeyman - Narresh has been taught much of the ancient world, old empires and kingdoms, as well as kings and great mages.
History: Modern: Novice - While the Naga are well versed in ancient history, their many years of isolation have kept them rather out of the know in recent history, Narresh knows relatively little about modern history compared to older history.
Conversation:Journeyman - Narresh loves a good conversation, and has gotten rather good at starting and at times, winning them.
Conjuration:Adept - The Naga were once masters of conjuration. While much of their knowledge has been lost, many still teach the basics of the art, as well as a few spells. Narresh is capable of summoning a few small magical beings, such as a small phantasm or, if given a few hours, an imp or similar. Capable of summoning a familiar.
Necromancy/Vitamancy:Novice - As the arguable creators of Necromancy and Vitamancy, the Naga still teach the basics of the arts to their students. Narresh never planned on becoming a healer, so he knows only the general lows and concepts behind each, he's familiar with their repercussions, but can not cast any actual spells.
Swordsmanship:Novice - Narresh has received basic training in the use of scimitars in the traditional Naga two-handed style. He generally keeps his two personal swords with him, but he was always more concerned with other aspects of life to study and train too much into these, he has only a basic grasp and skill with swordsmanship.

| I'm totally willing to give up some items if they mean I start with too much. I spoke with Pat a bit on the naga, they still exist, there just aren't many left. Feel free to ask any questions if you have them. | |
