Mannerisms Saren, thoughtout the years, have endured pain, torment, and loss. Typically, Saren is withdrawn, spending a lot of his time drinking or carving random wooden objects. His tone is horribly soft, as if winded from his travels and adventures. He'd keep mostly to himself unless questioned about his travels or challenged. Biography- Spoiler:
Saren, growing up, had a typical Tymafar life. Much of this is irrelevant to his actual backstory, believe it or not.
To the point that matters; Surna, 584 MoP. Saren, a young monster hunter, starts his practice in fire magic, as taught by Lisa Higgins. Around this time, Saren made a rivalry amoungst Zayl and Thorn. Despite this rivalry, the three maintained a rather close friendship. This, however, became strained when Zayl and Saren went after the same woman; Kelly. This, however, didn't break their friendship until Saren fell in love with Lil Oloth, causing the man to be stricken with utter madness. Because of this, the trio broke into a duo--consisting of Thorn and Zayl.
Throughout the beginning of the "Otherworld Crisis," Saren underwent a drastic change, becoming more and more bitter. Eventually, though his madness, Saren attacks Thorn, and is finally slain. Because of the strain between Shar and Bane, Bane returns Saren as Ultionis est Dulcis, the Demi-God of Vengence to enact revenge on the Goddess. Over the next few months, Saren's personality is split and eventually his body is, his mortal form being spewed out and the now-goddess of Vengence being slain by Bane for failure to finish their part of the bargain.
Saren joins in the battle against Phobia and is nearly slain by the creature. After such a close call with death, Saren hangs up his short swords and renounces his hunting. The man, as the years start to flash by, becomes more and more decrepit, his spells weakening, along with his over-all physical ability. The inevitable death of his close ones--Kelly, Thorn, and Zayl--tore at him, causing him to move into a more reclusive and more weakened state. Over the two hundred year time-skip, Saren simply traveled the outerlands of Surna, missing out on much of the innovations in machinery and ignorant to the changing times. Skills and Equipment- Spoiler:
Whip- Saren's number-one tool. Despite his older age, the man has rather agile reflexes, making him deadly with his whip. The tool is usually used to disarm enemies, in-which he'd finish them by strangling them or causing many lacerations across the body. Saren's frail form has made it harder for him to use the weapon, as he would have previously, but with a good anchor, Saren is usually able to hold his ground against stronger beasts.
Fire Conjuration- One of Saren's first learned abilities, he's nearly mastered the art of fire conjuration. The spells, as previously mentioned, were taught to him by renowned Fire Mage, Lisa Higgins over a span of six months. This is always Saren's first line of defense, usually used should his whip fail.
Earth Magic- Rather basic--smaller spikes being formed from the earth, rocks shifting, pitholes opening. It's more so a displacement spell, usually used in defense--to form walls and the sort.
"Fiery Hell"- Saren's token spell mainly consists of the ground being ripped apart, the heat from the stone and earth making well for a good conductor, allowing the older man to pull forth lava from the earth below. The spell, even in his prime, would take a lot out of him, now probably causing him to fall unconscious--it has been, and will remain, a final resort, should Saren have no other corner to run into.
Swordplay- Saren, despite having hung up his swords, is still rather adept when it comes to swordplay, usually better with two than one.
Weapons x1 Black and white whip, which was acquired through his transcendence to godhood. It contains no special abilities, but has a certain, sinister air to it.
Clothing x1 Heavy greatcoat with hood, purchased off a merchant in 584MoP, kept well over the years, regularly cleaned, restitched, and colored. x1 White glove covering his left hand.
I apologize for the shortness of his biography, but I'm being asked to apply for a character that's three years old. Much of the knowledge I have of him has been wiped out by various other communities. Should you be concerned about his transcendence, you have nothing to worry about--the man is mortal.

| Well, if it needs to be changed, it can--Saren had various near-death experiences, each providing for an excellent segway into his spiraling loathing and sort. | |

| Either way, Proximity, after looking at this I think it's best if you just start over with a new character.
Denied It's been too long. Saren (and certain parts of his activities and inter-character relations) can still be canon, but I think it would be better if you started over.

| Denied.
The point of the 200-year jump was to give everyone a fresh start, allowing for new and different characters that don't have a bunch of accumulated powers. Unless you intend for this to be some sort of Special Character that will drive events and plot-related stuff, I can't accept it as it defeats the purpose of the jump, putting this character (and indirectly, you) on unequal footing with everyone else. Already I can tell you he's way beyond what most people are allowed to start with, being a master of fire magic who can raise lava out of the ground (and use swords and a whip). Also... he's a demigod? What?
This isn't the first character that's been denied for this reason, so don't feel like you're being singled out. As for the Otherworld stuff, well... that seems like a giant gray area to me. I don't know what has and hasn't been retconned, and plan to find out should I be permitted to write new lore on the subject.

| Denied, from what I've read from both Munroe's and your information it seems it would be best to start a new character. I haven't had the chance to talk to you yet but from the information that he can raise lava and more importantly "raised through godhood". A fresh start would be welcomed rather than have a demigod here... | |
