Strong Tiefling Bloodline
Being a Tiefling Marcus has certain abilities that have granted him through generations of corruption, creating a more "pure" offspring of Tiefling. All tieflings find themselves with much higher stamina than a normal human, and the ability to run noticeably faster. The red tint to a tiefling's eyes is most prominent when it is darkest, where the eyes passively flare a bright red like the common image of the fires within the hells. Most importantly, a tiefling's eyes enable them to see expertly in the dark, rendering the darkness in an illuminated red-grey hue. This is a skill known colloquially as 'Darkvision'. Tieflings often find that their skin is resilient to fire, greatly increasing the time taken to burn and generally feeling extreme heat a lot less than normal. Marcus possess all the features of a normal tiefling - only much more pronounced and exaggerated with his bloodline.

Combat and Strength
While sometimes Marcus uses a blade, he is more conformable with the destructive fire magic that brews inside of him. Adept with both uses of combat, Marcus often combines the techniques of both classes in a fight though may only use his magic in a non-serious fight. Marcus trains in both aspects of combat nearly everyday to hone his skills, and often learns new ones from different teachers of the years. He wields a sword named "Bane" and is very talented in its attack. Souls that Marcus has consumed add to his general abilities: strength, magic, intelligence, and vitality.

Agility and Stamina
His ability to outrun an average man is obvious with his increased stamina and agility the Tiefling race grants him. This helps him if a criminal attempts to run away from Marcus. He can move from point a to point b fairly quickly depending on the distance.

Speech
Marcus is fairly sociable tiefling but is reluctant to speak to those he doesn't know. Though he holds this idea strongly in his mind, he will talk to people he deems worthy or to those he calls his friends. Even when talking he uses a language unknown to most and often finds himself combining it with his fourth learned language, common. Marcus has been known to chat with the few people he trusts openly, laughing and telling jokes with the best of them.

Demonology
Marcus studies more and more about demonology than in the past after the betrayal of the demon he summoned. He reads Consortium Inferi, a rare book from long ago on all things about demons. He takes his time reading it, making sure that betrayal will never happen again. Mirage's library of old and rare books is the prime research hub for Marcus now. Now experienced in making deals with demons, Marcus will rarely make a deal unless it is done correctly by a Blood Pact. His negotiation skills with demons increased, knowing what they want for his demands.

Fire Magic
Marcus can easily bend unholy fire to his will without much thought about it. After nearly fifty four years of using magic because of the tiefling's natural affinity to use fire without training. The only thing that truly limits Marcus is his imagination on how to use it best.

Demonic Magic
Demonic magic is any magic that is learned by a demon. With the tiefling's continued planetouched nature to demonic and fire magic, Marcus can use demonic magic straight after a demon gives him the knowledge to unlock the ability. This goes hand and hand with Marcus' expert demonology he has learned with trial and error, mostly error though. Now that Marcus is a mix between a demon and a mortal tiefling, Marcus has access to the ancient magic demons are unable to teach mortals. He can harvest souls that he has a newfound desire to gain more power by torturing them subconsciously.

Siphon Life
This long and ancient form of magic was taught from one of the demons Marcus has summoned. Though it is weak, it still drains the life of the victim and feeds it to Marcus to heal his wounds via touch. The draining of the victim's Sacred Field slowly recharges with energy over time, assuming they survive the attack.

Note: Marcus has been known to combine spells together, creating more unique magic attacks.

Quote :
Marcus was born in the Occitanian region of Weissböde fifty nine years ago to a strong bloodline of Tieflings. Being third generation Tiefling in his family, Marcus displays dominate features of a Tiefling. He was only raised by his father; his mother died during his birth. Being a Tiefling, Marcus' father found it hard to support his child and himself among the already racist villagers of Weissböde. Now with a red skinned "demon" he wasn't sure if he could find any work nearby. With the already low education in Weissböde, Marcus' father was worried his son would be an uneducated slave to the other races. Though Marcus didn't think about it, only wanting to be an elite adventurer in his imagination. Loneliness and utter isolation often made Marcus bored in his youth, relaying on made up friends that he played with him as the other humans watched in disgust.

Once Marcus was old enough, being eleven years old, he wondered the village on his own, Marcus enjoyed running around the empty village. Empty because the people were either too scared of him or didn't want to risk him causing trouble to them, he had fun nonetheless. Outside the town there was a cave, a cave were the local kids hid and played in peace away from bothersome parents. Luckily the day he went there no one was there. The walls were heavily coated with moss and other colorful earthy substances. Marcus bravely went into the cave but feared the kids return as they could come at any moment with him still in the cave. He was amazed by the cave's insides, looking around for what seem like hours. He hadn't really know what he was, nor why the others didn't like him. His obvious demonic appearance kept the other kids away from him, as well as the adults around the village. Marcus innocently traveled deeper into the cave, running his hand along the wall, almost as if he could feel the forces of nature pass through him as he traveled onward.

Deep within the cave, Marcus found the light grew dimmer and dimmer though he could see as if it was plain as day. His deep, red eyes glew brighter and brighter as the light in the cave was nearly nonexistent. Time went on and he visited the cave nearly everyday, sometimes the kids were in there with him unknowingly. He snicked and played devious tricks on them with his red eyes in the darkness, soon after the kids never came back. For years Marcus visited the cave to get away from the judging eyes of the other villagers. He pretended he was a knight and used his long, hooked tail as a sword against the evil of the world. Over the years he became handy around the village, though no one trusted him but a few people that worked with his father but even then they didn't fully trust him for his more demonic features. Being isolated from the humans in the village, Marcus slowly started to learn of their culture and the Saints. Two in particular. Despite being a "demon', as some called him, Marcus tried to improve his relations with the kids and their parents. Steudel proved that persistance and strength was needed to win the villagers over and Harthan to vent the strength on wild game in the local woods.

He came across a small hunting encampment on his journey to the woods, he was tempted to not approach them until he realized that they were Kazuth, who were an outcast race in Occtain themselves. Though they were hesitant to accept him for hunting with them, they offered to help for some of the game he brought in. Being older than he looked Marcus was granted much more equipment with his money saved up over the years of work. He hunted and socialized with the Kazuth outside of the village for some time, learning from their culture and homeland just increased his apatite to travel since he was a kid dreaming of being an adventurer. A few months passed as the Kazuths left the village when Marcus gave up on the village and left, leaving his father and followed his dreams of being more than a slave to the village. He knew he was escaping, but didn't know to where. Instead he followed the roads and often strayed from the path, exploring the unexplored... well, unexplored to him.

He adopted a new look with his new powers of destruction magic, wearing a large cloak with a hood attached to it, adjusting the hood to certain aspects such as his horns and his eyes, making sure little sun was exposed to his face. Shortened sleeves to accomdate his hands, which he uses to play with fire nearly most of the time. Watching the strength of the fire at his fingertips calms him. With his natural ability to learn and handle fire magic he often uses it as he travels to pass the time. Though he is no master, Marcus holds high regards to his use in fire magic and uses it instead of keeping it at bay. His time with the hunters, being different race than most of the villagers, he grew to accept the culture of different races and shunned the humans for their eagerness to neglect them. By this time Marcus was a adult by human age and traveled south to Sanctimonia after learning Occitan tradition of banning magic use, doing odd jobs for anyone who needed them. He never really adapted to the needs of certain people but did as they requested anyway.

He continued this line of work until another Tiefling by the name of Bronx approached him as he was repairing a building from a storm. The man looked old and wrinkled offering him "divine" teaching of rightousness, to help the world and other rather than oneself. Not that Marcus believed it but accepted for the promised gold and magic that he would earn from following this mans ways. Marcus was often contracted to capture many wanted people by any means necssary, Marcus used this as a way to train his magic against people in a legal way. Singed and bruised, the criminals never really stood a chance against Marcus and his untapped power that seemed to grow as he learned more from Bronx. Of course teaching someone a very powerful art of magic, who wasn't really even trained at all, wouldn't come free. Marcus payed the fellow Tiefling most of his income from the jobs he preformed. When he knew a new spell he would use it in most of his jobs, using extreme violence for his own satisfaction. During one of these trainings Marcus discovered that his tuder, Bronx, was convicted of murder. Distracted with ways to capture Bronx and bring him to the local law enforcement, Marcus never completed his lessons and instead captured Bronx and took the remaining shillings he farmed from Marcus.

Three decades passed since the hanging of Bronx in Sanctimonia. Intent on living the rest of his life while in his prime, Marcus set out to a city of lies, murder, and dark creatures known as Surna. Buying a room in the city walls, he set out to find people who were deemed wrong doers and bring them to justice by extreme conditions.

Marcus' life in Surna was a different experience from his life in the rural towns of Occitan. Most contracts were higher paying but more deadly, requiring him to team up with other locals, which he hated doing from the way they treated him. This did not stop him making the money he needed though. Bent on getting more money and power, Marcus sought out Vorn Tyrr, Solus Weathers, Shelob Razel and many others to do exclusive contracts of sensitive nature. This did not last long when Marcus turned to the forbidden arts of demonology for a tangible evidence in more power. After becoming a knight of sorts to Mirage Silverspine, Marcus summoned his first demon to the mortal plane. It did not end well.

Inexperienced in demon summonings, Marcus was easily tricked to kill the commander of the Watch, David Halberry, for the demon with a special dagger able to transfer life. As Marcus slit Halberry's throat, the demon possessed the corpse and gained control of the Watch. Not long after, the Black Watch confronted the demon and a battle erupted, claiming the lives of many linesmen on both sides. With the demon unchained, even more fell to the demon until it was banished back to Hell. Marcus was arrested, but with his ally Mirage, he escaped and fled.

Marcus only stayed in Surna for a few more days before contacting the Archivist's of Light and being accepted into their ranks, Marcus was treated like a political prisoner in the Archivist's realm. In spite of the Sanctimonian throne, the Archivist's created a double for Marcus to be killed and allowed the tiefling to leave safely with a new identity and face. Preferring the power of the demons, Marcus and his demon servant, Vekt, set a trap for the demonic cultists. This eventually led him to the encampment of cultists where he would make a deal with them to meet none other than Bane.

Striking a deal with the demonic god himself, Marcus went forth to Sarkun to ensure a location for Bane's tower, which he promised to build for the powers of being a champion. The civilized city states of Maalik fell in line under Marcus' influence, eagerly supporting him as the one to lead their people to unification for a stronger, better Maalik able to contend with the other nations of Aeria. Those who denied were crushed and taken through the might of the Exiled March, which Marcus created to support the ideals of people who were cast from society for what they were or what they wanted to learn. Bane's tower was closer to being constructed with Marcus' guidance.

Marcus Olm has long since forgot the Saints of his childhood and home nation and with them the gods of Aeria and beyond. He only uses Bane for his own power so that the world will no longer need the "guidance" of gods, but function on its own. Upon reading the teachings of the naga, Marcus has desired to enact what they call as the Crawling Path, to create a new world through the destruction of another. This, he believes, will allow man to separate its ties with the gods they trust in.
