I will say now that planetouched are ridiculously powerful. Everything about how you have played combat in the past strongly discourages an accept.

Being capable of summoning fire on a whim without weaving is just too much for a normal character. I had to be careful about how I specified my powers with Reis because she is powerful period, even after toning her powers down severely.

In your case, I have rarely seen a good combat character that you didn't powergame or play with unrealistic combat.

I wouldn't mind if the person was just talented in fire magic, but planetouched is almost a no-no. I am not saying it can't be done, but keep in mind that you really don't need them to be planetouched.

I don't think you can be Planetouched with two different things, such as light and shadow. I think you can only be Planetouched for one and one only. Other than that I have never seen you combat roleplay because I am never on. And as for Pheonix's comment, Planetouched are really powerful, keep that in mind.

Pretty sure you have to be a devote of Shar to use shadow magic, or at least have Her grace.

The character if not mistaken can use Shadow magic, but can't be Planetouched within it, considering you can only be Planetouched in one element. Or at least that is what I was told.

I would like to help put my opinion in, but could someone answer me as to what exactly being planetouched means? I can't seem to find it in the forums.

Looking at old biographies. Let's rehash this one.

Sixty-seven and wearing a half-plate hauberk? Damn grandpa, you got da velcros!
In seriousness, he probably shouldn't be hobbling around in the half-plate. Not that he 'couldn't' per say, but he would probably be at a greater risk of injury in it, due to being older, and more frail. Similarly, it would probably hamper him more so due to his age.

Second... magic? Uhm, helping Pac Man with his characte,r I learned about Vinberg. I don't think Occitan overly approves of magery, and Vinberg is hardcore Occitan traditionalism/militarism. Secondly, I think we would've seen a little bit about it in his backstory; unless, he's like magic with Surge powers and kinda kept it underwraps.

EDIT::
Read the most recent post right above mine. Is magic scrapped all together? If so, I could easily give this an accept. Basically just foxy grandpa with a frilly shirt and an old rifle.

Not sure how I feel about this char right now, actually. I have 5 that I'm trying to push along... Between Selena and Laura there's not really much RP for Carlisa, Lai'ara and Oph'elie...
