History

The council of Sarkun was created by the province states of united Maalik after the unification process. In order to have more of an authority over the lands, the council meets together to discuss various issues that plague the land so that all of Sarkun may benefit from helping each other. Each leader of the provinces has a seat in the assembly so that they may represent their people more accurately. Though only Maalik provinces have a seat in the council of Sarkun, diplomats have been sent to the many native tribes in the rural regions of Sarkun so that Sarkun may truly be united against all who oppose it.

Inside the ornate and regal palace of Muhsin, an entire wing has been repurposed for the Council of Sarkun. Many of the decorations remain from the previous ruler before Marcus  but many have also been removed to make way for a translocation area for the council members who live abroad.

Atiya
On time, per usual, Atiyan mistress Thana Jalia arrives at the chosen point of translocation within the wing that holds the council. She is soon accompanied by two elder vampires arriving in a similar manner. Stepping about the inner sanctum of the council, she takes her seat at the place appointed to her, waiting for the other members of council to arrive.

Saffiyyah
Shortly after Thana and her vampiric associates arrive in the council wing. Lady Cassandra arrives at the point of translocation. She too is accompanied by an associate, her eldest maid-servant, she seems well healed from the incident in Muhsin caused by the Ahdsurian agents.

Rashid

The entourage of Shah Sulaiman Perish IX arrives soon after, a dozen carriages rolling into the courtyard of the palace. Driven by the royal guard and waited upon by emaciated, malnourished slaves, 6 men exit the carriages to venture inside - robed with wonderful silk and outfitted with an enviable amount of gold, silver, and precious stones, the Shah's personal associates - wizards of grand repute, and of dark stories - centered around Sulaiman himself, though bending with age, still marked with a firm, cold, aware expression.

Spoiler:

On either side of them are four, hulking monstrosities of flesh, bone, and metal. Horrendous collections of flesh wrapped around a metal frame, they are terrible feats of necromancy. Standing 7 feet tall, each, they lumber along, ready to beat into pulp any who would dare come close to the Shah.

Spoiler:

Outside, the well-outfitted Royal Guard stands guard over the carriages. Overhead, a dreadful looking winged demon swirls around the palace, wicked looking scimitar in hand.

Appearing after most of the council members have already entered, Marcus Olm swiftly enters the council chambers with two escorts. Even though Marcus is very well armed and armored, the two seem to follow him with untold loyalty. The larger escort stops and turns back toward the entrance after Marcus motions his hand and speaks in his demonic tongue: "הכל תחזור לאחים שלך אנחנו עוברים אותו כדי להרוג את אויבינו אחרי זה."

The other demonic companion stays completely still as a statue while Marcus sits down at his seat appointed to h

Aqil
Without as much flare, but containing within the subtlety and simplicity of action, a poshly dressed sirrah enters the council chambers, armed on each side by a large Vampiric ward. The two large specimen situate themselves beside the man draped in red finery and trimmed in black, whom himself is of a stately height, blackened curls, and vicious eyes. Sitting upon his seat which has been cushioned to his liking, he waits quietly for the sermon following the arrival of the delegates to begin.

Qadir
**Coming into the council last walks the drow. She walks alone, wearing only red silken robes and a bemused smile and she saunters towards her seat and the table. She would exhale a sigh of relief, igniting a long stemmed pipe with a flick of her hand.

Marcus Olm stands once again before looking at the various council members who have arrived more or less on time. He rests his hands upon his sword's hilt as he address the members of the council. "Welcome, council, to the first of many meetings of United Maalik. Here we will gather to seek solutions to problems internal and external in the development of our land. If there are any questions, I will address them now." The tiefling then sits down at Muhsin's seat, continuing his rather passive state despite the fires that brew inside his eyes.

Aqil
The high chairman of the agricultural province of Aqil, in his velvet finery and cool expression, rises, and presents the palm of his hand as the circulatory passing of speech rounds to him. His voice is cool, composed, and instilled with a definite sense of self

"I only ask what might be the particular subject matter of this congregation of the most venerable, as to better prepare myself for the following participation. As valuable as my time here may be, I understand that it is similarly so, if not more so, for my peers. Peasants and plows, fie! I man the tedium as best be done, but I know you each have duties far more... interesting, that need to be seen to."

The Shah looks terribly bored, casting a cold gaze around the table as his entourage makes small talk among themselves. They immediately fall silent as the Shah moves to speak, his gaze having fallen to Catilyn Tyrr.

"I have a question. Who is this elf upstart you've planted in the seat of Qadir? Another of your sycophants, Olm? I see you've packed the table with your boot-lickers. Unified Maalik - it is a bad joke. How ironic that we would soon come to face within our own the same kind of fanatics from which we fled.

For what is this but the triumph of the servile? Jalia, Cassandra, and Olm - knaves, you all. If you have deigned to usurp control, Olm, you could have at least created a more convincing charade."

Seemingly somewhat aggitated for the latter's comment, Marcus turns to the Shah. "That is the problem, you fled. Granted, you fled and created a new nation in defiance to your oppressors, but still fled. Now is the time to fight, rather than to run away and be the bum of Aeria. It was only a matter of time before Sida came back to your doorstep to make another attempt on your lives. Unified Maalik, a joke to many outside our borders, but now a threatening force that threatens the power of these self proclaimed empires and corrupt kings."

Marcus pauses, stepping forward to the council member before stopping a few steps before the man. He rests his hand on the hilt of his ebonbone blade at his waist. "I will not let a safe haven for outcasts world wide fall down on its knees when so much could be done to change the world, to change history. Necromancers, summoners, inventors, and innovators will be welcome in this world. If you do not see such a goal, what is it you see for your future?"

Aqil
The high chairman of the Aqil merely draws back in his chair, smiling, letting his question settle like dust after a speeding horse on a dirt road. He smiles, looking between the figures; he folds his hands together, seeming to find something worth enjoyment within the back and forth between them.

As Marcus moves closer, both of the hulking undead beasts lumber forward, each placing an arm before the Shah, forming a shield of meat, bone, and metal. They give a deep, base rumble, a warning for Marcus to step back.

The Shah himself seems unconcerned, letting his guardians move without comment. He looks Marcus in the eyes and responds. "You speak many words tailored to move the hearts in this hall, but they are empty. Were we threatened before your coming? Did we have barrages of holy fire set upon our cities? Were our leaders murdered at the whims of the servile and ignorant masses? Your very nature betrays your words, Olm. You are cloaked in power granted by the Tyrant. And what part do we have in his plans? Is it not the way of Maalik to bind the forces of the heavens to our will, and to never bend to their own? We are the thieves of flame, the masters of knowledge kept from us. Yet you mark your men with the Mark of Bane, his own seal, to secure their souls to his name. And now you draw us to war. Others may be deluded by your words, Olm, but not I. And certainly not the venerable Chairman Adrahal of Tisuuk , yes?"

At these words, he turns to the Chairman. "Surely you see beyond this farce, Adrahal. Two of our own have been replaced by foreigners - the rest content to watch and see their agendas pushed forward, servile to Olm."

Marcus only steps a few more feet forward before stopping, indirectly challenging the flesh beasts. "I will not argue over this, as I respect your decision to withhold your troops. I will not demand troops that are not mine. I only ask that you consider why the SIDAN elves burned the cities and attempted the lady's life for their masters instead of attacking me directly. I have only hastened the era of war for Maalik and Sarkun in order to defend it. Sida would have attacked, they only needed a reason to.If it wasn't me, it would be for the vampires trying to build their own tower to their Mistress. Grant me one who knows so much on demons as much as my pick, I will replace the drow."

Using color to mark speech
The Shah leans back in his chair, regarding Marcus. "I don't yet know what your master plays at, Olm, but assuredly you will lead the others to destruction - or slavery. But continue with this meeting, Olm. If the others will not see the threat, I will not waste my time to show them. I rest my argument, for the moment."

With a parting remark, the Shah gives a dark smirk. "And - 'Sidan' Elves? Riding eagles made of flame? Really, now?"

Aqil
There is a cool, pleasured number of laughs that come from the balcony of Aqil's patriarch, and he does nod, even if not visible to those whom eye or speak to him. Adrahal of Tisuuk nods, and lets his voice, when applicable, return to the venerated Shah that addresses him.

"I have not begotten my position through lack of attention, or slothfulness of actions; I have seen much in the turn of events contained within Maalik these many moon-cycles, many things which have contained both my interest, and that of my station. Know that I do indeed understand that Bane has entered the sphere of Maalik in all but physical form, and that in his name comes battle, blood, and brutal right of rule."

Adrahal moves his arm, and his two large servitors adjust themselves as to better allow him reach to his wine glass, as he draws it toward his mouth for a sip, then returning his lips downwards.

"My station is to the people of Aqil, and it is my strength of knowing, of planning and... business, that has kept Aqil in its fairer days since my coming, and myself as its figurehead. The needs of Aqil are an intricate balance, something I do well to contain; it serves multiples of my purpose to work with the fellow neighbors of Maalik, and secure the peasant rabble's fear of death by blessedly-noxious fires. So am I willing to see how these events turn, as in times of great upheaval, sometimes, to bend is to survive, whereas to resist is to break."

The tiefling nods his head toward Perish then toward Adrahal when he finishes speaking. "I thank you both for... understanding." Marcus says before returning to his seat and removing his hand from his blade. "I have created this council to reveal the problems of Maalik, but I cannot do this alone. The bandits of Rashid, the freeroaming demons, trade, and our military should be all discussed."

Marcus turns back to Perish again. "I assume you received my letter offering my aid against your bandits?"

Atiya

Lady Thana Jalia looks to Marcus first, then her fellow council members before speaking out, leaning back in her chair. "I've seen merchants pass the shores and borderlines of my homeland for eons and I have yet to benefit from their wealth. Atiya holds a sinister reputation amongst the various sea-farers and caravaneers that dare not lurk too close to our boundaries. I would like to insist a port built in Atiya run by your friends at the... what do you call it? Imperial Trading Company. As to ensure my own people's wealth amongst the rest of Maalik."

Aqil
Adrahal of Tisuuk rises himself dusting himself lightly as he prepares to speak, making sure his suit is in fine order, and placing his hands behind him, to present himself fully and with the utmost composition

"Aqil is a rural land with a great deal of Earth under its many harvesting fields. While this can yield an easy control over the populace; barbarian agents and marauding creatures of increasing foulness have long plagued the lands. I request, for the sake Maalik as a whole, by means of increased yield in harvests and greater self-sustainability; Aqil should see uplifting, if in the very least the means of the proper-circles and in industry, leaving the peasantry to serve as they may."

Aqil
Adrahal of Tisuuk nods himself forward in a respectful full-nod in return to Marcus Olm, before looking out amongst the remainder of the powers at work int his place.

"Let it be known that I am thankful to the man Marcus Olm on behalf of the venerate-classes of Aqil; to work amongst ourselves for the bettering of the Maalik ideal should be our focus; however, allow me to add another pertinence to my speaking. I-rule-Aqil; with Marcus Olm now as the figurehead of the Maalik ideal, I see this change and accept it, as change is at times for the best. I defend the Maalik ideal, and press Aqil into its proper provision, and, I will restate as I said earlier: I rule Aqil."

Adrahal's eyes gaze across the other province-holders, not a single twinge of upset emotion within him; only his smirk, and his confident tone.

From then, Marcus would transition into a new subject at hand. He sits down and speaks to the council once more" Security of our cities is being threatened, and those without the protection, like Aqil, are being left for dead by the natives of the jungles. We need a solution in handling the natives." .
