Ruthless, intelligent, fanatic - once the dignified public face of the Greater Heartlands Crafts Guild, now revealed as a brutal and skilled manipulator. Vorn has had a hand in drug operations, strike breaking, election rigging, insurance fraud, assassinations, mass murder, attempted genocide. Even before taking a public role as Administrator of the Crafts Guild, he was a font of vice and corruption in Sanctimonia. Working his way from the ground up, he has labored to build a web of resources and wealth, all devoted towards a single goal. For almost two centuries he has searched, gathered, plotted, but now his plan moves towards completion. Still a mystery, the only certainty is that whatever he wants is held beneath the ground, within an ancient and abandoned Dverfar settlement. Many people hold the clues; but only Vorn holds the truth. In service to his Mistress, Shar, he will rectify the loss at the Black Tower. And all of Aeria will suffer as a result.
Biography
Vorn has revealed little of his personal history to the public, but now certain facts have been made known, in bits and pieces. Born in the subterranean city of Qui'nuiva, he was the youngest child of a brutal and powerful Matron. The youngest male in a society that valued age and matriarchy, he was, by merit of simply being born, worthless and little more than a pest. Cast aside in his young life, his only companion was his deranged sister, whom he became very close to.
When he was sixteen, he was shown to have a marked affinity for Shadow Magic. This was his saving grace, and he was soon inducted into the Shadowblades, a ruthless and fanatic sect devoted to Lloth. In the labyrinthine system of alliances, plots, and betrayals that is the Underdark, the Shadowblades are a constant. Devoted to preserving strife and worshiping by secret murder, the Shadowblades are the deadliest warriors in Daefar society.
Training with his deranged disappointment of a sister, he soon distinguished himself as an exceptionally skilled shadow mage and assassin, even among the Shadowblades. Still estranged from the Tyrr family as a whole, he nonetheless brought honor and worth to his family. This was, of course, before he tried to kill the reigning Matriarch and her inner cabinet.
The Matriarch proclaimed him apostate. Tyrr proudly claimed himself a servant of the true Goddess of the Daefar - Shar. The Matriarch sent assassins to hunt him. All fell before his blades, before he disappeared, fleeing the Underdark with sister in tow.
What happened between now and then is a mystery, but seems the most important piece in stopping him.
