'Sin'

*The pages are old and crudely stitched together.* October, 12: I'm thirteen now. I didn't get anything (again) besides a smack to the back of my head (again). Thomas and me snuck out at night, he had some of dad's ale. I drank quite a bit, I'm actually kind of dizzy.
October, 20: He's drunk himself to crying again. I feel kind of bad really. He didn't deserve that injury, even with what he did. I take it all back. He's horrible, that injury was a punishment from the gods. He found my journal, everything I wrote. He ripped out all the pages and cut me. I stitched the pages that I could actually write on together. I'm hiding it in the forest from now on.*a quarter of the bottom half of the page remaining* funny. He never caught us.
November, 26: Dad was different today. He was drunk, but he wasn't angry. He sat down and just talked about what he was when he was an adventurer, what he did. He talked with a bit of pride. He's *the rest is ripped out*
I don't know what date it is. They're both dead. Just me and Thomas now. We took what we could and ran. I have my father's sword.
August, 10: We have started begging. I don't know what else to do. These people are horrible, no one cares about us and my brother is looking like he will starve to death soon. It's my fault.
August 14: This tall man in expensive clothing came to me and offered me a job. My god finally. Things can get better and we can eat and sleep in a bed and*scribbled out*
August 20: Thomas is turning pale, his forehead is burning. He's getting sick, oh god I can't lose him. He's all I have but I can't afford anything to help him.
August 27: He can barely move or speak. The tall man came back and offered the job again. I have no choice.
August 29: It's done. The medicine is helping but it's not doing enough. I need more Something isn't right. I need to see what is wrong with him.
September 25: Job after job. The doctor says he can't be cured but he can sell me medicine to keep him alive. He's nice, I think.
September 30: It hurts. I read and hear about what I'm doing. I want to tell Thomas, anyone but fuck I know I can't. Damn it all.
October 12: The doctor is raising his price, damnit.
October 24: He's blackmailing me. That bag of shit, that son of a whore. Damnit.
Money
1. Tall man's 'Work'.

November 25: He doesn't believe my lies anymore. I can see it.
November 30: More watchmen replacing Jarston's group of bastards. They're charging me more than the previous group. I can't kill these guys too.

January 12: I was whipped in public. Lost everything. Need money. He is getting sicker.
January 20: He knows. I don't know how. He won't look at me, he won't talk to me.
January 27: I can barely afford anything to eat. The doctor's taking everything I have. If that price goes any higher I *scribbled out* I don't know.
January 30: He's trying to convince me to stop. I can't, I told him that I have to do it for him. I have to help him. Damn doctor, damn unknown tall bastard.
March 7: I haven't been writing for a while. Thomas*the page is ripped and continued on the next page* I don't need the medicine anymore. The doctor is not my problem anymore. I don't want to stay. I'm not going to, I am taking the first carriage out of here, I don't care where.
March 20: Not far enough. Not far enough no no no I need to get out of here. It hurts, I don People need help here. I can help people. I can do better. I need I can change, brother. I swear.
April 3: I’ve been staying at an inn, saving my earnings. I am nowhere near where I need to be but it is a start.
April 8: ‘Nobles’. Worthless men that think their better because they have a family who took more of our money than anyone else. People who hold their noses up so high they can’t look down and see what they’re stepping on. He came into the building and kicked everyone out for a “private party”. My room has looked better.
April 12: A deafer elf moved into the city today. Not exactly common here and they gave him the usual greeting. *something scribbled out*
April 20: Bandit contract tomorrow. I saw the elf again, in an alley with a bruise on his cheek. I will regret this but I’m going to let him spend the rest of the day in my room. He still hasn’t woken up.

April 21: I spent most of yesterday planning on how to finish my contract and buying what I needed. I checked on the elf first, he’s recovered rather well. Not only that but he volunteered to help me. No.
But he came anyways, using a bow from one of the first bandits I ‘dealt’ with. An elven archer, who ever heard of that. (Yes. I am joking).
April 27: He’s more helpful than I thought he’d be. So I might not regret it.
The contract that will get me the money I need to finally leave, but I had to kill a lycan. I thought it over for a time, set some traps and caltrops to give me an advantage and waited in a tree for it to come. I think I fell asleep. I woke up to the sound of a howling wolf and was pulled out of the tree. It ran right through everything I set. One of the bear traps cut it’s foot off but i*scribbled out* doesn’t matter. The elven male ran my sword through it’s back as it was about to rip me in half. He told me his name today, ‘Amras Elanessë’.
May 9: I finally have enough money to leave this place. I think Amras will come too. Good. I am still trying to find the right place Sanctimonia. I need to*torn pages*
May 20: Oh gods I feel awful. I can barely walk. I keep a pail beside my bed in case I need to vomit. He’s been taking care of me in the mean time. *missing pages*
June 1: OH GOD LAND I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU AGAIN. LAND GLO why am I writing this down.
June 10: Today was fun. No fights, no yelling about how I’m with an elf (Since this fucking place is full of them), just us doing whatever we felt like. He’s pretty funny. Nice singer too Could have been a bard. Apparently he IS WAS a bard. Lucky guess. Anyways, he’s teaching me how to use a bow.
March 13: I do still care. It's not any of what he said. I just can't. I don't even know what it is but his way of living isn't mine. My way of life isn't right for him and I can't settle with his ways. They're I'll leave, I feel like I have to. I'm going to *scribbled out* I don't fucki *ripped out*
