Sa'id Adel

Born into the Noble House of Adel, Sa'id learned the arts of the nobilty, especially that of languages, Sidan, Common, Occitan, and Elvish. Poetry, however, is one of the arts that intrigued him greatly. Many a day, he would board himself up in his chambers and write poetry on the finest of Sidan parchment. When he become of age, he left behind the life of luxury and indulgence he had grown to know, for one of military service.

He enrolled himself in the People's Army of Nasii, protecting in the sandstone castle of Sultan Ahbrahem Arvenio II. He learned to skillfully aim and reload Occitan crafted matchlock muskets, and the Sidan melee weapons of the scimitar and katar daggers, as well as utilize the properties of Sidan light armour. At the end of his eighteen years of service, an insurgent from the Talibarian Remnant, kidnapped the Sultan's son, Ahbrahem Arvenio III.

Upon hearing of this news, Sa'id and his four person squad searched Nasii up and down, alongside seven other squads. having searched most of the city, Sa'id and his group began to search a warehouse in the south-western corner of Nasii. Meandering around the multiple crates, barrels, and chests of the warehouse, the group fell under a volley of fire from the Arquebuses of several Talibarian terrorists. Ducking behind a large crate, Sa'id narrowly escaped certain death, with a round having only penetrated his thigh. His team, however was not so lucky. One had recieved three shots, one in the shoulder, and two in the chest. Another had recieved a shot to the pelvis, and one to his right arm. The last had recieved a direct shot to the the temple. Inching his way around the group of terrorists, Sa'id silenced five before anyone could notice with his katars, by the time any of the others had noticed it was too late. That night, Sa'id had eliminated nine Talibarian insurgents.

Taking a key off of one of the Talibarian corpses, Sa'id loaded his musket, and unlocked the door to the backroom. There, bound and gagged was the Prince of Nasii. Behind him, with a wheelock pistol against his temple, was a well dressed man, he appeared to be of Sidan birth. Sa'id instinctively raised his musket at the well dressed man. In response, the kidnapper pressed the pistol tighter to the prince's temple. "Your Sultan will give me 10,000 paesas, or I will kill his son. Do you understand me?" Against his better judgement, Sa'id pulled the trigger. The round soared through the air, and struck the well dressed man, square between the eyes.

With a mutual sigh of relief, the young prince thanked Sa'id and promised him one of the muskets from the Sultan's personal armoury, and a small merchant fleet, of course presumably returning a percentage of the profits to the Sultanate. Kneeling over the kidnapper's corpse, Sa'id smirked, and took his pistol and all the rounds the man had on him, and left with the prince. Upon arrival to the gate of the sandstone castle, the pair were greeted with a grand fanfare, and the Sultan came down from his throne, to the gate and with a sigh of relief, embraced his son. Then to Sa'id he said.

"You are a great man, Sa'id. You saved my son, and stopped the insurgent threat in Nasii. My son has promised you a many things; and they'll be so. Once healed, Surna awaits you. The Quintana Cartel has failed me there, and I'm sending you to make things right again. We can not lose our influence in Sanctimonia. Run a cleaner business in Sanctimonia, in the public eye at least, represent me well, Adel. Uphold the image of me, Sultan Ahbrahem Arvenio the Second, he who was bestowed by Aten, the Lord of Fire, of the Grand Oasis and the Protector of the Lands. Uphold the image of the image of Nasii. Our reputation is on your shoulders, godspeed Adel."

And it was so, with farewells to his friend. Sa'id sailed with his crew several weeks he docked in a small port-city in Sarkun, of course noticing all the Ha'dri he made out that they were in Sarkun and left without so much as a "Goodbye." Sailing just on the horizon of the shore, the merchant vessel sailed into Sanctimonian waters, and docked. Then, with a small group of sailors as a guard, the caravan departed from the port and followed directions from the locals to Surna, Catalyst of Fates.
