Being the first to get there, as already being in the home sector of the Saerid Directive, the large battle ships of the Saerid scout out to the planet on their goal to expand their empire. Multiple and various ships stop at the planet, likely heading to Sector Seven to claim it for their own. The ships stay stationed there for some time, cautious to leave their home sector to anyone who would want this planet.

The many ships hold off and prepare to warp into the sector guarded by the mercenaries of Sector Seven. The AI weapons begin to warm up and crew report to their respective combat positions as alarms begin to blare across the ships about to jump to Sector Seven.

The one ship that stays scans the planet below again, the Saerid having scanned it before because of its close proximity to their home planet. The ship begins to descend toward the planet, intent on finally capturing the resources the neglected on the planet.

The nearby asteroids appear notable on scans with their high carbon deposits. The planet shows a lot of ice and cold rock, although metallic veins are present. For more accurate prospecting, a ground team must use the proper equipment.

The ships prepare their assault on the Sector Seven superstation, radioing many ships outside of Sector Eleven.

As the cruiser lowers itself to the planet, THORs fly out of the hangars and move to secure a landing sight before the cruiser lands. They find a clear some rock aside and the cruiser lands softly, flattening anything else in its way.

Filing out of the larger carrier ship, many Saerid units, unaffected by the cold weather begin to make preparations for a landing dock. The engineer units hastily design a large complex to store the asteroid ships that will harvest the minerals in the belt around the planet. Another building is for the resources to be stockpiled and later be transported to the adjacent home planet of the Saerid and one of the last key buildings being the mining facility. It is designed to be much like the on UU-73 from its successful efficiency it produces.

The hard working Saerid engineers work hastily and some of the Ursine troopers leave the warmth of the cruiser as well, their natural fur protecting them from most of cold weather the planet throws at them. Simple freighter ships from the home world of the Saerid land near the landing zone, which has undergone lots of change in just a few hours of work. The workers unload the ships and begin to set up the equipment needed to harvest the minerals in space as well as under the surface of the planet.

Large structures are nearly constructed by the next day, the Saerid engineers having lacking the need to sleep. Some of the heavy lifting relies on the freighter during the night when the Ursine sleep aboard the carrier ship. Many drills are set up but not functioning, either without power or without the vital parts to drill.

During the nights, the intense temperature drops may begin to wear into the metal of the structures and Xenos, making them brittle.

Units affected by the extreme cold are sent inside to repair, if anything has shut down. More units and Ursine fill the empty spots and construction is continued after warming the metal of the buildings already up. Small freighters taxi various resources to and fro from the home planet and this planet.

Seeing the overwhelming cold taking slowly destroying their metak, the units move inside the shelter of the shielded carrier ship. They abandon the metal they were building with that couldn't be salvaged. After a few moments large Ursine reveal themselves in protective warming gear but the cold still gets through. They hold massive tools, two Ursine per one tool. They wait calmly as the cold slowly picks at their skin.

The carrier ship fires up, the engines releasing controlled bursts of fuel to uncover the snow and prod away at the hardened mountain side some ways behind the carrier ship. After the burst stop, the mountain having a sizable hole in it, the Ursine people move in. They begin to make the last preperations to the mountain as they drill with the massive tools they hold.

With the extended use of tools and machinery during the freezing nights, drill bits snap, various liquid lines to engines freeze and crack and leak when warmed, some even have hairline metal fractures. The solution to the problem may be replacing the tools constantly, new technology, or only use the tools at the warmer daytime hours.

Engineer units begin to immediately travel to the engine room and warm it up and hastily begin to work on repairing it. The Ursine continue to mine a large hole inside the mountain behind the ship, making fast progress with the tools they carry. They begin to move inside the mountain side after creating sizable tunnels inside.

Spacial distortions flicker some miles away from the icy wasteland that is P3X-0315. Three unidentified vessels descend out of warp-space, approaching the planet under the shroud of their active cloaking systems.

In succession to these events, one of the vessels would deploy a sub-space communications jammer, which would effectively render all fleet and ground assets in the proximity of the planet and it's surrounding space; mute. Only shortwave radio equipment would be untouched by this ECM. But considering the advancements of today, old and outdated equipment such as that must surely be in short supply.

As the unidentified ships come in Sector Sector Eleven, the home sector of the Saerid Directive, they may pick up many active ships drifting around. Battleships are in various places around the sector to protect it. However, the Saerid do not detect the stealthy unidentified ships. Planetary weaponry is active on the home planet and its moon.

The communications channels of the sector are disrupted but the advanced AI race does not communicate with each other through these means. The network that binds the AI together in the area is not effected much, but falters a few times from the disruptor.

The oblivious Ursine continue to hollow out the mountain. By this point they have made some progress and made a large room to hold storage and tools. The Ursine sleep regularly near the fire they set up in the cave.
