Overview.

Formed in 745 to combat the influx of Blight-Casters in Pycheko, the Pychekan Commissariat was quickly evolved and integrated into the government and military. They are hand picked, die-hard fanatics that are trained to combat Blight and dark powers. Not only that, but to monitor their countrymen and keep an eye out for traitors or those who would speak against the People. They answer directly to the Czar and can alter anything to his choosing with relative ease, due to their integration. They are feared by all for their brutality and wit.

They recruit from patriotic aristocrats, highly successful officers in the army and navy, and in some cases take in orphans at a very young age to process them through indoctrination. Some of these recruits are killed in the brutal training it takes to become a Commissar. Some find that it's dirty work, and would rather not become a Commissar. Resulting in 30% of the actual recruits becoming Commissars.

The Commissariat work directly with the Buriczyka to achieve their goals. Both they and the Buriczyka are not only able to handle Blight and other dark entities, but they are extremely loyal. The Commissariat represents the true intentions of the Czar and his followers. Since they are in every aspect of life, rebellion, coup de'tats, or rioting is almost impossible. They are everywhere. They see everything. Watch your back, because the Commissariat lurks in every corner.
